Festive Friday 50#

Oh my goodness, I just realised I forgot to upload my Festive Friday Challenge card. And it's our last one forever... sniff, sniff.

I've had an absolute ball being on the DT and it has really pushed me out of my creative comfort zone sometimes, but this weeks one is a great one to end on.

We have a colour challenge for this week and it was perfect for Christmas...

Super simple, green, red and black. Now I do hate traditional Christmas colours with a passion, but lime Green gives me a little break lol.

So my card is something that can be mass produced pretty quickly and the layout could be changed for any occasion too. I actually really like how it turned out and the DSP isn't even Christmas paper. It comes from the Summer Smooches patterned paper.

Well that's it for Christmas Cards for another year, but I have so much to share with you over the next few weeks. I have some great SNEAK PEEKS of the new, up coming Seasonal Catalogue and don't forget Sale-A-Bration starts in  25 Days!!!

Happy NEW YEAR and have fun,
Chlo

Christmas isn't Christmas without the Glimmer!!

So how many of you are in love with Stampin' Up's Glimmer Paper?? I know I can't get enough of it!!

Just a quick one today, as I have so much Christmas readiness to do it's just shocking!!

Today's card was going to go out to all my lovely scrapping friends, until I noticed one, huge, 3D flaw in my plan. Yes, I had used a rosette which means that card will be to big for the usual size envelop and Australia Post aren't too keen on sending lumpy cards in the mail.

So I'm sharing this one with all of you instead...

It's only a mini 4" x 4" card but has lots going on with it. In fact it came together rather quickly and i was so pleased with how well it worked.

And I love the rosette and label punch combination. And of course the silver Glimmer paper really ties it all together. You could almost pop it off and where it as a badge!!

Have Fun,
Chlo

Not wine but Appletiser!!

Today I'm back on the Christmas wagon and have a great gift tag to share with you all.

This was super quick and easy to make and the best part is, I made it with scraps of DSP and cardstock!

They can be used for some many different things too. The main idea would be for bottles of wine or spirits, but they would be perfect for hand wash and body baths bottles too. But because I was making these as my Preschool Teachers gifts I didn't know if wine would be appropriate, so I gave them all a bottle of Appletiser or Grapetiser instead lol.

Have Fun,
Chlo

Butterfly and Owls

Wow, I have to admit I'm pretty much over making Christmas cards. I know we still have 9 days to go until the big day but it seems like I have been making Christmas cards, tags and ribbons for months... well I think I probably have actually lol!

So today we have a slight change of pace. I have been "Pinsurfing" this week and found the most amazingly beautiful card. The creator of this masterpiece, Erica Cerwin, is so super talented. In fact I repinned heaps of cards from her gorgeous blog Pink Buckaroo. You must pop over and take a look, but allow for a few hours as there is so much to look through!!

Anyway, the first card I made was a complete CASE of Erica's. I just loved the easy of this card and it's made entirely of punches... gotta LOVE that!!

Are you wondering how I made those gorgeous little tags in the middle of the butterfly? Well, then you have just found my first Sale-A-Bration Sneak Peek!!

Don't know what Sale-A-Bration is ??

It is the largest Stampin' Up! promotion period of the year where you get free stamp sets and accessories!

Every year from mid-January until the end of March, Stampin' Up! gives you the opportunity to earn fantastic, limited-edition stamp sets and accessories.

I will give you more information a little bit near the time, but just keep 22nd January saved in your diaries!!

Anyway, the tags that I have used for this card is a sneak peek look at one of the FREE stamp sets you can choose during Sale-A-Bration. Aren't they super cute!! There are eight stamps in this set, all as gorgeous as these two.

Oh and the Sneak Peek doesn't stop there... Are you wondering, "How did she 'cut' them out?" "Could there be a matching punch???" The answer would be a huge big YES!!!!

So after I made the card in Blue I of course wanted to try some other colour and ideas. So here is a gorgeous pink version...

Both these cards have homes waiting for them. This pink one is going to my cousins little girl who has a birthday over the New Year. Little Emma is turning 3 and she's such a girly girl, she will LOVE this card!!

I then wanted to try something for my friends son who is turn 12. Ok I know what your thinking, how do you adapt a pink Butterfly card for a 12 year old boy... The Owl punch of course!!!

OMG, how gorgeous is that!! And still super easy and all made out of punches. I just hope he's as pleased with it as I am lol.

Well that's enough from me today. I do still have a few more Christmas cards to share with you over this week, so check back in for some more inspiration.

Have Fun,
Chlo

Festive Friday #48

Woo hoo it's Friday and with only a few weeks until Christmas, it's the perfect time for a new Festive Friday Challenge!!

This week it's a Punch Art Challenge.

Ok, well I'll be honest, I've never really done any punch art. I think My little Owl Monsters where as close to punch art as I have ever got. So this might not be technically Punch Art, but I did use my punch to create it, so that counts... right?!?

Ive seen lots of these Santa Suit cards but it was the super talented, Stampin Up Demonstrator, Teneale Williams that inspired mine. Love you Teneale ;-)

Very simple, very quick but such an awesome Christmas card. And lets face it, when we have so many to make and so little time, something easy is the way to go.

So why not pop on over and take look at what the rest of the amazing Design Team have made and have a go yourself!!

Have Fun,
Chlo
