Sending a kiss...

I promised I would be back today to share another Pleasant Poppies card with you all. This one is what I made and sent back to the UK for my Auntie who had been in hospital.

This time, I wanted the Poppies to be the star of the show and so I had to cut a specially large card to accommodate them all.

I also wanted to add a touch of bling, to give it that little bit extra sparkly. I just love how neatly the large oval punch, sits nicely inside the scallop oval punch. Match made in heaven if you ask me!!

A super quick post for a super quick card!!

Have Fun,
Chlo

Pleasant Poppies

I have had the Pleasant Poppies background stamp for while and have never inked it up. Shameful I know and I really, really liked it!!

So I over the last few weeks, I made two cards. One was for my Auntie who had been unwell and the other was for a Stampin' Up party, which means I haven't been able to share either of them until today. Well I say today, one today and one tomorrow... I need to keep you coming back for more now don't I!!

This card is a CASE card, which just tells me I spend to much time on Pinterest lol. This was inspired by the uber talented Karen Barber, who runs "A Stamper's Diary" blog. To see the original card just click HERE. Her blog has some seriously gorgeous cards on there. In fact I could spend the next month just casing Karens cards.

As you can see from the original card, I haven't really changed much. just a few like tweaks here and there, but really, the card is so beautiful why would you want to change it!!

I do have two things I would like to direct you to. One was I have, yet again, used the little Petite curl label punch and matching SAB stamp set, Pretty Petites, for my little tags. I just love this pair and I'm telling you, if you only choose two SAB items this year, make sure it's these two!!

Also I wanted to point out the doily like circle that I have mounted the poppies on. That is one of the circles that comes with the Perfect Pennant die, which I used here to make my DS2 birthday banner. See how versatile that die is. I love something that can multi task!!!

Have Fun,
Chlo

"I'm late, I'm late...

For a very important date" well according to the white rabbit anyway lol.

So here is my Valentines card!! I know, it's almost 5 days late, but it's really not a big deal in my house... actually come to think of it, Hubby doesn't make a big deal about any of it lol.

BUT, I love any excuse to go and have a play with my SU goodies so off I went. Now I'm pretty sure this card is a CASE, but i have no idea where!! I'm usually such a stickler for giving credit and linking back to the original designer, but I can't for the life of me find where i saw this. I'll update if I suddenly remember!!

This is not my usual style of card. There is a lot of white, but I still think it works. It's good to push yourself sometimes!!

Anyway, Hubby loved it, so I guess that's all that matters!!

Have Fun,
Chlo

"ROAR" means happy birthday in Dinosaur!!

Morning guys,

I've been a little quiet blogging as of late and that's because I have been super busy making goodies for my sons third birthday party.

He decided he wanted a dinosaur themed party, which meant I just HAD to get Stampin' Ups Dinoroar stamp set... Ok I said HAD, but really I have been hanging out to get this super cute set anyway. After all, I do have two small, dinosaur obsessed boys, so I knew it would come in handy at some point!

So using the stamped images and choosing Pumpkin Pie, Lucky Limeade, Tempting Turquoises and Pacific Point as my main four colours, we jumped right in and started with the invitations.

These were so simple and quick to put together. The DSP is from the paper stack packs, which come in four different patterns but in every colour. Perfect for just adding that finishing touch. Oh and if your wondering about the frame around the Dino, well that is from the Peek-a-Boo die. I just didn't pop the little door open, but stuck my dinosaur right over the top. Clever isn't it!!

Next, I had been wanting to use my new Perfect Pennant Die since forever. I usually only use the pretty circles that come with it (they remind me of the doily die) and I have a card coming up this week that uses them, but this time I wanted to actually use the die to make a matching pennant.

OMG, how easy was it to put this baby together. I used the largest Pennant and the smaller decorative circle and then added 1 3/4" circle inch punch. I also used, the now retired, Timeless Type Junior Alphabet die, but really any alphabet die would work.

And of course, to keep it in with the Dinosaur theme, I coloured and cut out more little Dino's from the Dinoroar set. And my little tip for colouring them in.... practice on a lot of scrap paper lol. I used my blender pens to colour them, after stamping them in Stazon. I also added a little outline of Baja Breeze which really made them "pop".

Next I whipped up some quick tags to add to my party boxes. This time I stamped the Dinos on some some scrap pieces from the Brights Paper Stacks that I had saved. I cut around them and popped them up on a punched circle and then scallop circle punch. Quick and pretty easy, but a great way to tie them all together!!

So lastly, I wanted to share the Cake that I made for my little guy. I didn't use any Stamin' Up goodies, but I still just wanted to share a photo of it, as I was pretty pleased with me effort. Ive never actually made the kids birthday cakes before, usually they get cupcakes with different colour icing, but this year I wanted to give it a try.

What do you think? Not to shabby hey. Oh and Logan loved it!!!

And lastly I thought I would actually share a photo of the Birthday Boy enjoying his cake!!

Wow, what a huge post lol. Anyway, I hope I have given you some inspiration on how to look outside of the box when using our gorgeous Stampin' Up goodies. They can be used for lots of things other then just Cards and Scrapbook pages!!

Have Fun,
Chlo
