Can You Case It Sketch Challenge #122 - Pop of Pink

http://canyoucaseit.com/?p=3181
Ok, now I do know it Tuesday today and that my card for the Can You Case It challenge is a few days late. All I can say is that sometimes, things don't go to plan and last week, I had so much prep for my Annual Catalogue launch, which I held over the weekend, that I lost track on a few things. This challenge being one of them.

Any how, it doesn't matter too much as I've made my card and have decided to link it to the challenge site just like you guys do!!

So this is the sketch that we had to use as our inspiration:
http://canyoucaseit.com/?p=3181
And this was my interpretation of it:

Because I have been busy making displays for my open day, I've had lots of time to play with my new goodies that I was able to order on the Demo preorder (Preorder is a fab demo perk. If you would like to know how YOU could become a demo and enjoy this and lots of other fantastic offers, then just click on the 'Join The Closet Crafters" page found at the top of my blog) and I have really fallen in love with the new Pop of Pink Suite.

I really didn't think this set would be for me, as I'm not a huge fan of Melon Mambo and have never really need a pineapple or Flamingo stamp, BUT I have loved every sample  that I have seen (Damn you Pinterest) and just couldn't resist it.
I used all 5 rolls of washi tape, that comes in this range and layered them across a piece of whisper white. I heat embossed two of the leaves from the stamp set, in gold and finished it all with a melon mambo button. It was one of the most popular cards on my display this weekend!!

Well now it's over to you, check out all the other cards and add your entry for this weeks sketch!!

TGIF Inspiration Challenge - Swirly Bird and Watercolour Wishes

Hooray for Friday and what a fantastic way to kick it off this week, then with a challenge from the TGIF crew.
http://tgifchallenges.blogspot.com.au/2016/05/tgifc57.html
So at the end of each month, we the DT, have to choose a card that we have seen over the last month that inspired us enough to want to CASE them. Now I first want to start off by saying, the card that inspired me is by a person who inspires me everyday with not only her amazing creations but by her generosity, kindness and helpful spirit. She really has a beautiful soul and I'm so glad that we become friends

So here is the link to pop over and visit the amazing Rochelle Blok and take a few minutes to look through her gorgeous cards. I promise you, you wont regret it!!

And this is my take on one of her gorgeous cards that she designed for the TGIF Challenge #54. I loved all her little layers and her the attention to detail. It's as if everything is lovingly placed together.

I decided to crack open my preorder and use the brand new Swirly Bird framelits and pair that up with the gorgeous Watercolour wings stamp set. I think the Swirly Bird framelits are going to be ever so popular come 1st June, so make sure you pop your order in for them asap!

Well that's it for me today. I'm still busy prepping for my big launch that is happening THIS Sunday. If you are in the neighborhood, then please pop on by and say hello. It would be great to see you!

Annual Catalogue Launch

Wow, it's not long now until we say good bye to the old and hello to the new. This time next week, I expect we would have crashed the Stampin Up ordering system with all our Must Have shopping carts. I know my wishlist is pretty huge!

And with a new annual catalogue just around the corner, it also means it must be time for my annual Open House Catalogue Launch... Hooray!!

I'm super busy getting my displays and samples made, packing the goodies bags, cutting the M&T, sorting through my retired stamps and framelits for the
HUGE garage sale and getting all the games and prizes sorted. A few sneak peeks below, just to wet your appetite:

And there is still time to RSVP and come along for the morning. It' held at my house (address will be sent once you RSVP) on Sunday 29th May, 10am - 12pm. Tickets are $10, but if you bring a new stampin' friend that I haven't met before, then our entry is FREE!!

Please RSVP by Saturday 28th, so I can make sure I have a catalogue ready for you! Oh and if you can't make it this weekend and would still like a brand new catalogue, then just SEND me an email with your address and I'll pop one in the post for you (Australian address only, I'm afraid).

Right, well I better get back to it. I'm planning a Mystery Make and Take this year, which I'm so excited about. Sunday really will be a fun day!!

Can You Case It Sketch Challenge #120 - Words of Truth

 http://canyoucaseit.com/?p=3177
Hooray for Sunday and such a fantastic weekend. We had no commitments this weekend so it was all Us time which was lots of fun. It's nice to have the time to just do whatever you feel like and the kids sometimes need the down time too.

Anyway, back to this weeks Can You Case It challenge and we have a sketch for you all:

 http://canyoucaseit.com/?p=3177
I actually found this card a bit tricky this week. I'm not one for lots of white space, so this kind of design makes me very nervous. But I think I did ok.

My card was actually made for my daughter this week. She's recently just had her NAPLAN exams and found the pressure of it all was a bit much at times. She did brilliantly and I'm so proud of her that I decided a card would be a nice way to tell her how great we think she is.

This stamp set, Words of Truth, is actually on the retirement list and I'm so devastated to be saying goodbye. I have used it for some many cards and tags and I love all the sentiments, yes even "I love you more then grilled cheese"!

Well that's it for me today. I'm off to finishing enjoying the rest of my weekend. I hope you find time to pop over to the CYCI blog and check out the cards made by the other designers and don't forget to join in too. We love seeing all your creations.

TGIF Sketch Challenge #55 - Thoughtful Banners

Hooray for Friday!! It's the best day of the week I think, full of possibilities for the weekend and time to hang with the family.

Also it's my turn for another TGIF Challenge card and this week we have a fantastic sketch to share with you all:

Now I want to admit, that my card was actually going to be for my son who is 6. He's been having a few problems lately and not feeling 100%, so i thought I loving card from mum, made with all my heart would cheer him up... well it didn't really go to plan. Let me show you my card and then I can explain!!

So you can see I kind of went a little girly with it. Ok, a LOT girly!! I'm not sure what happened really. I started off with male colours, but some how I kept adding more elements until I was really happy with the card, and then i realised I had made a girls card not a boys one. Hmmmm back to the drawing board I think.

I've been so good not using my preorder goodies so far, but I just love the new Duet Banner Punch and the matching stamp set called Thoughtful Banners. This set has so many fantastic words, and I know I will being using it all the time.

Well it looks like I better spend the weekend putting my thinking cap on and make a card that my gorgeous little boy will be more impressed with. I have a feeling No Bones About It is about to get a bit of a work out... I'm thrilled that set isn't retiring, that's for sure!!

Have a fantastic weekend and please pop over and check out what the other super talented designers have come with this week.

Chlo
