Simply Citrus - Kit Alternatives

So I promised I would share a few more cards made with the stamps from the Simply Citrus All Inclusive card kit. And today I'm going to show you three cards that I made using some of the pieces from the kit itself, along with those super cute stamps.

The first card I actually coloured my lemons like a what I always expect a Pink lemonade lemon would look like, and obviousl had to pair it with a slice of ruby grapefruit!

The gorgeous paper running down the side is actually what the envelopes are lined with. I Know!! How cute is it. I just gentle pulled the envelop apart and then trimmed off all the flaps. What a great way to use that gorgeous pattern.

My second card was created with one of the main card fronts from the kit, which I trimmed down and backed onto a piece of Basic Black. I added one of the Night Of Navy banners under the heat embossed sentiment. This time added a few sequins from the iridescent sequins that match all these citrus colours perfectly.

And here is my third card.

This card just uses up all the left over bits and pieces. When I'm colouring in with my blends, I tend to stamp and colour a page full of images and then use them as I go. So I always have a few left over bits which worked perfectly for this card. Again I used the fruity pattern paper from the envelop and the other spotty strip, is again from another envelope that I cut up (The kit has two different envelop designs.)

I always love putting our gorgeous kits together, but I have more fun, creating alternatives with either the kits or the left overs. It's so satisfying!!

So if you have been thinking of purchasing on of our kits, why not check out the simply Citrus kit. I would love to see what you create with yours.

Chlo

25 Days to Christmas - Christmas Countdown

Happy first day of Christmas everyone!!

Today is the first day of the silly season, though with the amount of Christmas classes I've ran over the last few months, I'm almost all Christmased out lol.

Today I thought I'd share a photo from a class I held last week, using one of Stampin' Up! amazing kits. This one is called the Christmas Countdown kit and it's a stunning Advent Calendar. Perfect to add your own little gifts or treats for yourself or those beautiful little people in your life.

One of the ladies in my class actually gave me her calendar after classes, to give to one of my children so that they had one each. Wasn't that just the sweetest thought ever xxx

I plan to actually decorate the back of each box, and turn it into a birthday count down calendar so we get twice the use out of it!!

Why not take a peek at some of the other Beautiful Kits that we have on offer in this awesome Holiday Catalogue. There really is something for everyone.

Kit stamps aren't just for kits - Incredible Like You

I've got two lovely, simply cards to share with you today. Both cards are pretty much the same designs and idea but I have just changed the colour and layout a little.

I had been making up the Incredible Like You kit and always like to find other ways to use the coordinating stamp set. I also had out the Forever Lovely stamp set, which I had been using to make my cards for my Product Class and Cards to Go kit (More information on that can be found HERE). I noticed all my messy, stamping off on my grid paper and it actually gave me the idea for these two cards.

The first one is very romantic and pairs Crumb Cake with Lovely Lipstick:
I just love the random, floating hearts coming out behind the sentient. The heart cluster stamp is from the Forever Lovely set and the gorgeous sentiment it from the Incredible Like You set. Don't you think they pair beautifully together.

The hearts are actually a mixture of Lovely Lipstick and Flirty Flamingo, in both full strength and stamped off.

Now the second cards is kind of same same but different. Same idea but a slightly different layout. This time I paired Powder Pink with Coastal Cabana and it turns out I'm loving these colours together:
The hearts are stamped in Flirty Flamingo and again in a mixture of full strength and stamped off. Instead of them clustered behind the sentiment, they look like they are fulling from the sky and I decided to add a little bling to this card, with a few metallic sequins.

Well I hope that will help you get more love out of your kit stamp sets. This stamps aren't just for kits but for whatever else you can imagine!!

Chloe

Kits and Stamps - Hello Friend

I love all the Stampin' Up! kits and obviously so do my class ladies, considering that tomorrow I will be running my second Kit class.

But what happens to those stamp sets that come with the kits, once the cards and been completed? They often go unloved and forgotten about. Well that doesn't have to be the way and my card that I made today just show's how fantastic these little kit stamps can be:

This card is my Thank You card for September (so if you've ordered from me this month then one of these cuties will be on it's way to you!!) The stamps have all come from the Hello Friend card kit and I just love how quick and easy this was to make.

The crumb cake flower stamp on the sentiment is actually from the wreath. I just stamped it multiply times all over the corner of the circle in varying shades.

The little flower if from a trio punch pack that retired some years ago, but it's such a beautiful little punch, I've never been able to part with it. I think it just adds that little extra elegant detail.

So next time you have finished making up one of our amazing kits, don't put the stamps back in the card box. Keep them out where you can see them as they might be exactly what you were looking for!!

Chlo
