TGIF Inspiration Challenge - Swirly Bird and Watercolour Wishes

Hooray for Friday and what a fantastic way to kick it off this week, then with a challenge from the TGIF crew.
http://tgifchallenges.blogspot.com.au/2016/05/tgifc57.html
So at the end of each month, we the DT, have to choose a card that we have seen over the last month that inspired us enough to want to CASE them. Now I first want to start off by saying, the card that inspired me is by a person who inspires me everyday with not only her amazing creations but by her generosity, kindness and helpful spirit. She really has a beautiful soul and I'm so glad that we become friends

So here is the link to pop over and visit the amazing Rochelle Blok and take a few minutes to look through her gorgeous cards. I promise you, you wont regret it!!

And this is my take on one of her gorgeous cards that she designed for the TGIF Challenge #54. I loved all her little layers and her the attention to detail. It's as if everything is lovingly placed together.

I decided to crack open my preorder and use the brand new Swirly Bird framelits and pair that up with the gorgeous Watercolour wings stamp set. I think the Swirly Bird framelits are going to be ever so popular come 1st June, so make sure you pop your order in for them asap!

Well that's it for me today. I'm still busy prepping for my big launch that is happening THIS Sunday. If you are in the neighborhood, then please pop on by and say hello. It would be great to see you!

Watercolor Wings - Just Because Card

Just a quick share with you today.

I made this little card for a class a few weeks ago and just realised I hadn't shared it on here. It's a long, skinny card which I never seem to make many of, though I don't know why as I really like how they look and if you have the envelope punch board, it's a snap to whip up a matching envelope.

It's such a cute card and pretty easy to put together. I just followed the 3 step stamping techinque to build the butterflies one at a time, with the last butterfly being stamped completely using all three stamps. I then of course couldn't resist using the matching framelits to add a little vellum butterfly on top.

Add a little sparkly and you have one sweet little "Just Because" card, which I'm going to send to a friend today, for absolutely no reason at all. I love sending out those type of cards, don't you!!

Watercolor Wings Notecards

Today's share are some little Thank You note cards that will be 'winging" their way to my customer who have placed order this month!! I always like to show off a new stamp set or technique that I've learnt or played around with recently.

I of course had to make them in a variety of shades and colours as I can never pick a favourite and when doing watercolouring, each one comes out differently every time.

I used black embossing powder to really make the butterflies pop and stand out against the vivid watercolour background. And aren't those little thinlit greetings just gorgeous!! I'm so in love with these little darlings that you will see me using them a heap more times, that's for sure. They are also such great value to money, which never hurts!!

ESAD Blog Hop - Hooray for the new Catty

Wow it's been a long time in between blog hops with the ESAD girls that's for sure. I love hopping with this uber talented group and you are about to be blown away with all the creativity to come. Whether I'm your first stop or you've hopped over from Cherie (wasn't her creations AH-mazing, that girl can craft!!) I hope you enjoy yourself and get plenty of new ideas.

So, my card today was actually inspired by... well, by MYSELF!! I know, strange hey.

In my little Stampin' Up! business I recently promoted to Manager, which has been in the making for sometime and this month the stars aligned so to speak and all of my blood (paper cut Ouch!!), sweat and tears paid off. So I made a Congratulations card, for myself:

It's pretty special isn't it! I'm totally loving all our new DSP's in the catalogue, but I think the Timeless Elegance paper has to be the most beautiful. In fact I wasn't sure I was even going to cut into it. Tell me you have the same problem!!

Also can you see what I did with our new Natural Elements veneers. I inked up the 'Congrats' using our Memento black. Great way to colour co-ordinate these little beauties for any project.

Well that's it for me today. The next person on the Hop is the awesome Rachael Lewsley, who has yet another beautiful creation to share with you all.

Happy Crafting,
Chlo

Watercolour Wings... I love you!

I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who is absolutely in love with the new Watercolour Wings stamp set. The amount of amazing colour combinations that can be used with this beautiful "3x step" stamp set is out of this world. Every time I try a different combo it comes out perfectly!!

So it was my best friends Birthday last week and I wanted to make something a little extra special for her, of course using her favorite color "Elegant Eggplant". What's more special, then a shaker card!!

I'm so pleased with this card, as it came out exactly like I imagined which makes a nice change lol. The Watercolour Wings set co-ordinates with not only the Bold Butterfly framelits (which, when brought as a bundle you can save 15% off) but also the Butterflies Thinlits too, which is how I got the "skeleton" effect on the front butterfly.

Are you wondering where my "purple" shaker filling's came from? Well, all I did was sponge Elegant Eggplant onto some of our Dazzling Diamond Glimmer paper and then used our 1/16" circle punch to punch them out. Easy Peasy!!

Happy Crafting.
