Trust Me You're Lovely - Lovely You

I thought it was time I revisited this stunning bloom, before I got too excited about my new delivery of goodies. After all this was one of my fav's from the catalogue the moment I saw it.

I kept the layout very similar to the other cards I've created with this die (You can see them HERE) but instead of all the rainbows and watercolouring, this time I kept it to cardstock and three colours.

I was surprised how well the Petal Pink and the new Misty Moonlight go together. They are both dusky shades and so I think that's why they are such good friends!

I also had to use the new stamp set called Lovely You for this gorgeous sentiment and can we take a minute to say WOW to the beautiful die that the sentiment is stamped on! It's from the Tasteful Labels die set which coordinates from the Tasteful Touches stamp set. It's hard to see in the photograph, but the die actually has an embossed edge around it too. So lovely!

I also just had to use some of the new incolor enamel dots, just to finish it all off. There seriously is so much to love in this new catalogue!!

With Deepest Sympathy - Tasteful Touches

I just love it when you have a stamp that just stamps so crisply. And when that same stamp, embosses just as beautifully you have the perfect stamp. Well, this feather from the Tasteful Touches stamp set, is the perfect stamp.
I wish you could see these two feathers in real life. They make you want to touch them. The fine detail and the crispness of the edges is amazing. Even after heat embossing it, they don't lose their detail. And I think that's what makes this sympathy card so lovely. Well that and all the little embellishments too.

I never, ever throw my embellishments away and I love mixing up shapes and materials. Here I have faceted gems, with sequins with vintage buttons. In fact I think those buttons were some of the first things I ever brought from Stampin' Up! almost 8 years ago, But it all just works on this card.

The little trim of white glitter paper and the Early Espresso cardstock, finish the card perfectly. Also you can't go wring with a sentiment from the Peaceful Moments stamp set.

If you would like to purchase any of the products used today, then head over to my Online store. It's also just had a make over so make sure you check it out!!

Masculine Sympathy Cards - Natures Thoughts

Happy Friday guys. I hope you are all enjoying the new annual catalogue. I know I'm waiting very impatiently for my order to get here!!

Today I have another sympathy card to share with you. This time though I have gone for more of a masculine themed. Of course this design could easily be used for any occasion and actually when I recreated this card for my Facebook Live, I changed the sentiment out for a Happy Birthday.

I think the hero of this card is the stunning gold embossed leaf. The sunlight really caught the gold in my photo, which just shows how bright it is as we all know trying to show embossing or glitter in a photo is really hard to do.

The background is just the same leaf, inked up in Mossy meadow and stamped twice. It gives that gorgeous two tone effect. I then used my Stampin' Write Marker to flick some ink over the background. Paired with an embossed sentiment, you have a simple yet beautiful card.

If you would like to see how I created any of these sympathy cards, then head on over to my Facebook page and check out the live online class. Each month, I create an online version of my Classic Class, where you can purchase the card kits and then use your own stamps and inks to put the cards together. I host a FB Live to show you how to make the cards up. This live will also be saved, so if you miss it live, it's there for you later.

Sending Sympathy - Tasteful Touches

So my girls last week asked for some Sympathy cards for our online Classic Class and of course I said sure leave it with me. Then I was stumped for a few day's trying to come up with a design.

Sympathy cards are those cards that we don't like to make, but really do need in our stash, as when they are needed they are kind of needed straight away. This particular one, is very soft and feminine and could easily be used for any occasion.

I love this gorgeous bloom in the new Tasteful Touches stamp set. It stamps beautifully and it's the perfect size for cards.

I used the masking technique for this card. I stamped the flower on a piece of printer paper and cut around it. Usually when I'm cutting something out I would leave a white border around it, but when creating a mask, you need to cut actually on the black line.

Once the flower is cut out, that then becomes your mask. I then stamped the flower image again onto my cardstock and I placed the mask over the top of that flower and stamped another flower next to it, slightly over lapping the flowers.

When you remove the mask, the flower underneath still looks clean and the second stamped flower looks like its in the background, behind the first flower. Always such a wow technique and so very easy.

A few white rhinestones and an embossed sentiment on some Rococo Rose and you have a simple almost peaceful card.
