Cuppa and Cards: Hello - Bloom and Grow

I'm so excited to be able to share my first Cuppa and Card, card with you all. This month, every card will show case the gorgeous Bloom and Grow stamp set.

My first card was totally inspired by a card that I saw my beautiful Friend Louise Sharp create almost a year ago. You can see Lou's beautiful card HERE.

I wanted the gorgeous flower stamp to be the hero of this card and kept the colouring pretty basic.

I'm still, after 3 years, in love with my Stampin' Blends. I literally use them every day and they were the best investment ever. If you haven't taken the leap into alcohol markers just yet, then these are the pens for you. They are so easy to use and the fact they coordinate with our cardstock is such a bonus.

If you would like to join my Cuppa's and Cards class, hop on over to page which you can find HERE. All the details on how to join us, can be found there.

Blends and Butterflies Are Made For Each Other - Butterfly Gala

I saw this gorgeous card (which you can see HERE) by Emma Goddard, The Coastal Crafter, the other day and I absolutely loved it. I loved how you had used the Blends to give her butterflies two different shades without the usual blending. I also just loved her colour pallet too. This is my CASE of Emma's card:

After making her card, I decided I wanted to do the same technique again, with the butterflies but change the card design and that is how my card was made:

It's just such a crisp, clean card and I think the colours just sing together. I also love using my Blends in a different way too.

Did you also notice the two little scored lines in the card. This is one of my favourite techniques. I just use the score blade on my trimmer and added to gentle score lines. It's so easy to do and I just like the elegant of it.

Now, don't forget you can purchase all this items at any time through my Online Store which is open 24/7, just for your conveniences !

NEW Stampin' Blends Class January 2019 - Humming Along

I'm absolutely loving these school holidays and the fact I've been able to get into my craftroom more then usual, which means I've been able to get ahead on my classes for the next few months.

One class which I'll be rerunning this year is my very popular Blends Class. The girls have absolutely loved the class last year and I have a whole heap of new crafters signing up to attend this years class too.

My first class of the year is always a very easy card, just so I can teach the ladies the very basics of colouring and blending. Here are the two cards we will be making in January:

I received the Humming Along stamp set at Onstage and I was so excited with it because I knew it would be a perfect set for people just trying out colouring with our amazing Blends.

I really love the line work on this little hummingbird and couldn't wait to start colouring him in. I suddenly wasn't sure exactly what colours hummingbirds are. I know they are a bright metallic blue and green but when I suddenly came to adding it on him, I wasn't sure where to start. So I did a quick Google search on hummingbirds and used that as my inspiration.

The colours on the Hibiscus came from my very own plant that sits in my front garden. Hibiscus come in so many colours that you really can't go wrong. Just remember, when adding depth or the darker shaded area, to think where you would actually see those deeper colours on a flower.

If you have started using our amazing Blends markers, I really urge you to give it a try. You honestly do get better with more practice and if your aren't sure which colours to get first, take a look at which stamp sets you have to colour and decide from there. Most people have flower stamps and so I always think you can never go wrong with a green and a pink combo!!

Especially for you - Botanical Bliss

Don't you just love Pinterest? I know I do. It awesome for ideas, suggestions and just a wealth of things to make and do that makes my little crafty heart sing.

I had seen this pretty card on Pinterest, using a different companies stamps and I thought ohhh I wonder how I can make this with my stamps... and here it is:

Cute hey! I have to admit it was nice to step away from Christmas for a minute and remember all the lovely stamps we still have in the Annual Catalogue. But in saying that I do think this card design may appear in my next Christmas card!

I've used the lovely pearlescent paper from the Frosted Florals DSP and paired that with the flower stamp and sentiment from Botanical Bliss, my new fav.

The pattern paper gave me the colour combo for colouring in my flower and I used our Blends in Highland Heather and Mint Macaroon, with some Crumb Cake for the leaves and a little Pineapple Punch for the centre.
As always if you would like to order any of the products you have seen here today, please head over to my STORE and place your order. Oh and don't forget to you my Hostess Code, as it helps me to be able to give away freebies and offer specials.
