The Thinlits are finally here!!

I know them as Flip Flop cards, you may know them as swing cards, but whatever the name, they were always so fiddle and hard to make.... Until NOW that is!!!

To say I'm slightly addicted to this amazing card making die would be an understatement. I stayed up until past midnight the other night just to have one more little play with them before bed!!

Over this next week, I have a few different cards to share with you and there are some really cool things you can make with this wonderful new product, so lets start with my very first card, which I have to say, is soooo cute!!

Now, I have had this little Hootabelle pinned for a while, as I have a gorgeous little girl turning two in a few days and she loves Owls, especially Hootabelle from ABC's Giggle and Hoot. The original idea came from the lovely, super talented and fellow Australian Demo, Jennifer Frost, over at Handmade by Jennifer Frost. Her cards are so gorgeous, that I could resist casing her "Hoot".

And when you open the card, the middle "flips" to reveal the other side... Clever or what!!!

But wait, there;s more. When you buy the Thinlits, they came with a heap of little framelits to add extra embellishments to any card or scrap page, not just for the Thinlits!!

The flyer below shows the two different Thinlits, Circle or Frame and what extra pieces you get with each one. As you can see on this card I have used the banner, label, xoxo, Scallop circle and the big heart.

Each set costs $55.95AUD plus P&H. I have only had them for a few days, but I just love the WOW factor you get each time you make a new card. At this rate I'll become a hoarder and won't want to give any of them away!!

If you would like to order yourself a set of these awesome Thinlits, then just click on the Shop Now button, on the top right hand side. Oh and did I mention they work brilliantly with our new Magnetic Platform!!!

Now, the only problem is trying to choose which set to buy... Easy, just buy BOTH!!!

Have Fun,
Chlo

ESAD BLOG HOP - Seasonal Catty Goodness!!!

Yep, my ESAD girls are having a blog hop and this time around we are showing off  lots of goodies from the Seasonal Catty.

Now, you may have come straight here as a regular visitor of mine ( Hey, how's your weekend going !! ) or you have come over from Keryn Campbell's blog and have just been "WOWed" by her beautiful design. Either way, I'm happy to have you here this morning!!

Ok so today I have put together something special that I made for one of my gorgeous hostesses alittle while ago.

Now when my hostess suggested she would like something other then a card, I was a little taken back, especially when she added there was somewhere between 17 - 20 people coming to her party!!

OMG what will I do. Then it hit me, I love making wine bottle tags and they are always such a "wow" when shown to other people. Throw in the gorgeous new "Hearts a Flutter Bundle" and it's a sure fire hit.

Cute isn't it, and so much nicer then those cheap, nasty, bottle bags you can buy!! And don't you just L.O.V.E those little pennants!! They are so verstile too. I've got another card this week to share with you where I've used them and I'm in the middle of putting a scrapbook page together where I've used this set again.

But what other Seasonal Catty goodies have I used...

Eye spy with my little eye... Yep that would be a new embossing folder "Cloudy day". I brought this folder to use with the gorgeous "Rain or Shine" stamp set, but thought it would look brilliant with the banners. They kind of look like they are blowing in the wind now

And don't forget about the Primrose Petal cardstock that I've used with the new embossing folder. Yep your right, that's not just any old Primrose Petal cardstock. You are looking at our new gorgeous Core'dination Cardstock. It is available in two other colours, Real Red and Pool Party. It's so clever, with just a little bit of sanding, the embossed area just 'POP'S' off the page!!

And don't forget, you can now buy anything you see here, over at my NEW online shop and have it shipped directly to you!

Now it's time to hop right along and be prepared for something gorgeous from the super talented Ann Gerlach. I believe she is using the brand new stamp set "By the Tide". You can be sure it's awesome!!

Have Fun,
Chlo

Butterfly and Owls

Wow, I have to admit I'm pretty much over making Christmas cards. I know we still have 9 days to go until the big day but it seems like I have been making Christmas cards, tags and ribbons for months... well I think I probably have actually lol!

So today we have a slight change of pace. I have been "Pinsurfing" this week and found the most amazingly beautiful card. The creator of this masterpiece, Erica Cerwin, is so super talented. In fact I repinned heaps of cards from her gorgeous blog Pink Buckaroo. You must pop over and take a look, but allow for a few hours as there is so much to look through!!

Anyway, the first card I made was a complete CASE of Erica's. I just loved the easy of this card and it's made entirely of punches... gotta LOVE that!!

Are you wondering how I made those gorgeous little tags in the middle of the butterfly? Well, then you have just found my first Sale-A-Bration Sneak Peek!!

Don't know what Sale-A-Bration is ??

It is the largest Stampin' Up! promotion period of the year where you get free stamp sets and accessories!

Every year from mid-January until the end of March, Stampin' Up! gives you the opportunity to earn fantastic, limited-edition stamp sets and accessories.

I will give you more information a little bit near the time, but just keep 22nd January saved in your diaries!!

Anyway, the tags that I have used for this card is a sneak peek look at one of the FREE stamp sets you can choose during Sale-A-Bration. Aren't they super cute!! There are eight stamps in this set, all as gorgeous as these two.

Oh and the Sneak Peek doesn't stop there... Are you wondering, "How did she 'cut' them out?" "Could there be a matching punch???" The answer would be a huge big YES!!!!

So after I made the card in Blue I of course wanted to try some other colour and ideas. So here is a gorgeous pink version...

Both these cards have homes waiting for them. This pink one is going to my cousins little girl who has a birthday over the New Year. Little Emma is turning 3 and she's such a girly girl, she will LOVE this card!!

I then wanted to try something for my friends son who is turn 12. Ok I know what your thinking, how do you adapt a pink Butterfly card for a 12 year old boy... The Owl punch of course!!!

OMG, how gorgeous is that!! And still super easy and all made out of punches. I just hope he's as pleased with it as I am lol.

Well that's enough from me today. I do still have a few more Christmas cards to share with you over this week, so check back in for some more inspiration.

Have Fun,
Chlo

Cheeky monster owls

I saw this gorgeous card on Pinterest the other day by Kathy Gennari. And she had made these gorgeous little monsters with the owl punch. Now I expect we have all seen how super versatile the owl punch can be but this was the first time I've seen these little critters.

So anyway, my Besties little girl had her 1st birthday party coming up and I thought I would give the owl monsters a try and maybe make them girlie...

I think that's as girlie as a "Monster" can get lol. The DSP is Summer Smooches, which is such a gorgeous pack full of bright, bold colours and patterns. And the little bit of silver Glimmer paper just ties it all together... Who said glimmer paper was JUST for Christmas :-)

Have Fun,
Chlo

Hoot Loves you...

I'm more then happy to admit, I'm must be the last Stampin' Up Demonstrator to have fallen in love with the Owl punch. Why has it taken me so long to try it out, I don't know, but now I think I've found a new addiction. This little fellow is so much fun. I actually borrowed the punch from my BFF and I'm now I'm waiting to get my hands on my own one.

I love the fact that you can add a few accessories to make the little owls suit whatever type of card it is. These two are also showing off my new love for Easel Cards. Yes, yet again I am late on finding this great card technique... i think I've been hiding under a HUGE rock lately !!!

This is for one of my favorite fellow SU demos Rochelle Blok. We are both on a Birthday card swap together (you can see the cards I received here) and her birthday is in June. Now I know what you're going to say, the card says " Birthday wishes (a little bit late!)" and I'm super early. Well I have to confess I thought I had missed it already... Like I said I have been under an ENORMOUS rock lately lol.

I'll make another one for Rochelle, but I'll change around the colours and patterned paper a little and with a more fitting saying!!!

Now this one came about after I had punched out the Patterned paper for the Owls bellies. I just used two pieces of random scrapes from the Spice Cake paper (super sad this patterned paper retired as I would have loved more of it), and when I looked at it, I immediately thought that one looked like a waistcoat and the other a little summer dress... ok so maybe you can't see it, but the inspiration from that hit me and I thought "Hey, they make a lovely little married couple!!!

And THIS is what I love most about the Owls. I just added a few rhinestones to Mrs Owl and made a little top hat out of some card stock for Mr Owl and they have turned into a super cute wedding card!! You'll also notice I added some party hats (or tiny scrap triangles lol) to the birthday card and it finished the design. How easy is that !!!

Mr and Mrs Owl are off to yet another swap group I'm part off called Stampin' Up Card Swap. It's a Facebook page where anyone can join to take part. You just send one card off each month and in return you will receive a card. the swap is international so your card could go or come from anywhere in the world. It's really good fun and I have been on it for a few months now. And you can send any type of card. So why not "like" the page and take part. You never know, your next card might come from yours truly!!!

Oh and if you like the Patterned Paper I've used, don't forget that for the whole month of May Stampin' Up have the Paper Party happening. For every 3 packs of Patterned Paper you buy you get another for for FREE... Just think of how may owls I could make with all of that!!! To find out more click here!!

Have fun,
Chlo
