The Little Things - Painted Poppies

I really enjoyed creating my card for this months Stamping Sisters tutorial bundle, and while I had the Painted Poppies stamp set out on my desk, I thought I would create a few more cards, especial with ANZAC day only a few days away.

This card was using up a few left over stamped images, that hadn't quite gone to plan. I love it when you can create something beautiful with scraps or left overs.

The Scripty embossed background is so beautiful. I love using this embossing folder on Whisper White, but it's just as stunning on Basic Black too.

I had stamped and coloured a whole heap of poppies and the matching leaves and these where a few that had been left over. They went perfectly as a little accent on my stamped circle and of course you can't help but add a little gold glimmer when using red and black. It just has to be added!

Thank you for popping in today and hope to see you again soon,

Happy Crafting,
Chlo

Social Stamping Blog Hop - Friend

Happy Saturday everyone and welcome back to another awesome blog hop with the Social Stamping gang. Today we are all about cards for friends and I love creating something for someone for no actual reason, other then just because so this was a fun theme.

My card is a little different today. It's still full of bling and glimmer, but I haven't really used any real colour. Ive gone a wee bit classy I guess.

Crumb Cake is my all time favourite colour, Stampin' Up! has ever had (very closely followed by Coastal Cabana of course) and I was shocked to realize I haven't used it for quite awhile and so I decided today was the day I used my one true love!

I just adore this Forever Blossom branch, but I often struggle colouring it in. And then I thought, why not leave it shine in all it glory just as is and of course adding some Wink of Stella is always a great idea. This card really is very shimmery.

I of course an still totally addicted to the Scripty embossing folder and had to use it again. It just gives the basic black cardstock a little bit of a whimsical feel to it. Love it!

Now it's time for you to hop off to your next blog. If you would like to start at the begining, then make sure you start with the amazing Kelly Kent, who started this whole paper adventure (do you like what I did there Kelly ;-) ),  or if you want to follow the hop and go around in a nice big circle then your next stop is the fantastic Odetta Kermode.

Either way you are going to have a fantastic time. Be prepared to be inspired!

Simply Layouts - Free as a Bird

So a couple of days ago, I posted some sweet cards that I had made with the Bird Ballad pattern paper (you can see them HERE) and I mentioned not to throw away the white diecut circles, because they can be used on different cards. Well here are a few of those cards that I made with those circles.

The card is almost exactly the same layout and design as the other cards, except this time, I've used the single bird design from the Bird Ballad designer series paper and I've also stamped and coloured a few flowers, which are actual from the Paper Pumpkin 'So Shelli' kit. The images in that stamp set are an exact match to the images used in the pattern paper. Isn't that cool!

I love when a card design can do double duties and these cards came together so super quickly. All I really needed to do was add some sequin bling and we have some super pretty cards.

Our retirement list will be available from 23rd of April (make sure to pop that date in your diary) and I'm pretty sure this gorgeous range of paper will be on it, along with lots of other favourite items including all the 2018/20 incolour products. So rather then wait, make sure you stock up on your favorites now and head over to my STORE.
