Thinking of You - Painted Poppies

I'm seriously loving the Painted Poppies stamp set and today I got to use some of those beautiful coordinating sequins on my card too.

This card matches my card from Monday (you can see that one HERE) plus the card I created for the Stamping Sisters tutorial bundle, where I've used the Triple Time Stamping technique.

This card is very quick and clean with some very simply stamping. A great card for anyone to make whether you're a beginner stamper or more advanced but need to make a few cards in a hurry.

The background has been created by stamping a few of the flower and leaf images in Sahara sand on whisper white cardstock. I then stamped the sentiment straight on top with Tuxedo Black. If you are a little nervous about direct stamping, you can always use your Stamparatus for that. It's the perfect tool and you will get a great image every time!

How cute are those sequins?!? Did you realize they come in little flower shaped sequins as well as the flat kind. Just so darling.

I hope you are all finding some craft time, while in isolation. It's certainly great for your mental health and it's awesome if you send the cards you make too!!

Happy Crafting,
Chlo

The Little Things - Painted Poppies

I really enjoyed creating my card for this months Stamping Sisters tutorial bundle, and while I had the Painted Poppies stamp set out on my desk, I thought I would create a few more cards, especial with ANZAC day only a few days away.

This card was using up a few left over stamped images, that hadn't quite gone to plan. I love it when you can create something beautiful with scraps or left overs.

The Scripty embossed background is so beautiful. I love using this embossing folder on Whisper White, but it's just as stunning on Basic Black too.

I had stamped and coloured a whole heap of poppies and the matching leaves and these where a few that had been left over. They went perfectly as a little accent on my stamped circle and of course you can't help but add a little gold glimmer when using red and black. It just has to be added!

Thank you for popping in today and hope to see you again soon,

Happy Crafting,
Chlo

Stamping Sisters April Tutorial - Thanks and Blessings

So the world is certainly a strange place at the moment. I was officially made redundant for the foreseeable future and currently home schooling my Highschooler and two primary School kids. To say that's hard work would be an understatement.

But all this extra time at home has also been fun. The kids and I are finding different ways to be crafty. We've baked together, made play dough and my daughter has even taken up sewing.

I think being creative is so important, especially in times where our mental health can suffer. So this months stamping sisters tutorial couldn't come at a better time. Oh and did I mention our theme is Thanks and Blessings.

Colour INKspiration 3rd Birthday Blog Hop - Painted Poppies

Wow, I can't believe the Colour INKspiration team are celebrating their third birthday today and I felt so honored to be asked back, as a past team member, to be part of the blog hop today.

If you've hopped here from the amazing Julia Quinn then welcome or if you have joined the hop from my blog, make sure you hop back and check out Julia's gorgeous creation. Her work is always beautiful!!

So Bronwyn allowed us to pick any colour combo I wanted and I was instantly going to go with a Crumb Cake and Coastal Cabana combo, but then I thought about which stamps I wanted to use and I really couldn't go past the gorgeous poppies. And so with that in mind, my colours for the hop today are, Poppy Parade, Black and Gold,

And here is the card that I created with those colours.

How beautiful is this poppy stamp! I can already tell, this whole suite; paper, stamps, dies and embellishments are going to be a huge seller. Plus the new scalloped stitched rectangles are a must have for absolutely everyone.

The sentiment is actually from a carryover set called Gather Together, and i thought the font and sentiment was perfect for this card.

So guys, a few important notes for you. You can enter as many times as you like and the challenge will run for a whole month over the summer ‘break’ until February the 10th. That gives you plenty of time to create something gorgeous, just like yourselves.

Now, seems the perfect time for you to hop on over and check out the next amazing card, which happens to be super talented and very dear friend Denita Wright-Smee. You are going to love what she has to share with you all.

Happy Crafting,
Chloe
