Hello Fabulous - Dressed to Impress

Today I'm sharing a card I created for my class girls. My classes are currently all online and so are available to anyone who has an Australian postal address. For more details just click on the Online Class link above.

This card showcases the best dressed bundle and I've coordinated it with the Parisian Blossom designer series paper.
Gosh I love everything about this card. The fact that it has very little stamping. Well actually only the sentiment has been stamped. Everything else is just our amazing designer series paper.

Those perfume bottles are actually fussy cut from the paper in the Best Dressed suite and the background paper is from the Parisian Blossom suite. That paper is gorgeous in real life. It's hard to see in the photo, but the script on the paper is actually champagne foil and just catches the sunlight beautifully.

This card really is so simple yet striking and you always know you have a great card, when you don't need to add any bling!!

Happy Crafting,
Chlo x

Somewhere over the Rainbow

Yeah it's finally Saturday and even though its a super busy day for our household, I still love that weekend feeling and this weekend is even better because it's a long weekend... Woo Hoo!!

So to celebrate I decided to whip up a bright and cheerful rainbow, Saturday Night fever inspired card. Honestly it looks like this card stepped right off a dance floor.

See what I mean! It's totally, 70's disco lol. I have used lots of new goodies on this card, which I'm ashamed to say, have been sitting on my desk for a few weeks. I think I got a little bit carried away with all the new catalogues and ordered so much that I'm still getting around to using it all... first world problems I guess!

I absolutely love the background on this card and it's really easy to do. I've used some watercolour paper and a wet paintbrush. I squeezed the ink pads, when they were closed, to transfer some of the ink onto the inside of the lids and picked up the ink with the paintbrush.

Have a great long weekend everyone,
Chlo

Port Hole Card

So lately I have been busy working on my post for the upcoming ESAD Sale-A-Bration Blog Hop, that is kicking off on 24th Jan at 10am. I really love all the offering for SAB this year and think you'll be just as excited as me when you get to see them. Oh and the reminds me, if you would like a copy of the SAB catty and don't already have a demo, them pop me an email and I'll get one in the post to you :-)

Anyway back to today's post... I wanted to share one of the cards we have been making in Class this month.

It's such a cute card and has been getting lots of Ahh's when I show it off. It also has a lovely swing to it if you get a bit of rhythm going when you open and shut it. Trust me, it's almost hypnotic.

I used the Circle Thinlit (Honestly one the best things I've ever purchased!) and my circle Framelits to make a port hole in the middle of the flip flop circle part. That's obviously the technical term for it!! This way you can get nice clear hole all the way through the middle for you heart, butterfly, star or whatever else you choose, to turn freely.

Now the butterfly card is a case, but for the life of me I can't find out where from. Once I find it I'll update and give credit!!  Ah here it is Lyssa Griffin Zwolanek.

Such a simple card but really gives a wow factor. So much so in fact, you really don't need to add to much more to it.

Have Fun,
Chlo

Not Melon Mambo

I honestly don't hate any of our gorgeous Stampin' up colours. I mean they are all such beautiful shades, but there are a few which aren't my favourite, go to colours. Melon Mambo has to be one of them, I'm afraid.

So when I was a bit stuck for what cards to make for my upcoming class, my lovely friend and fellow Downline, Brenda, offered to set me a colour challenge. She said, "Out of all these colours, which one do you dislike the most?" I should have known what was coming when I said, "Ummm, would have to be Melon Mambo" Well guess what colour I was given to use...

So I had to make a card using Melon Mambo and Pink Pirouette (which is my favourite pink I think) and I could only choose one other colour, which had to be Early Espresso. I have to admit that I really enjoyed the challenge (thanks Brenda xx ) and I do actually love the card I made.

I love how the "A thousand thanks" phrase is inked up once and then stamped repeatedly up the card until we reach the top, with the colour just getting lighter and lighter.

And how cute are those little butterflies floating around the flowers. I love the Butterfly Embosslits, so quick and easy to make, just a matter of popping it in Mr Big and then done!!

Have Fun,
Chlo

Triple Time Happiness

Morning Guys,

I've some how manged to not only get all the kidlits into school on the same day BUT I also have no housework or little jobs to do today, which means one whole day (between the hours of 9am -3pm anyway) of craft time. Can I hear a Woo Hoo!!!

So today, I wanted to share two of my latest creations with you all. First off is a card that I made for my Card Class which is on this upcoming Saturday. I love to teach my girls different techniques or trends that are hot at the moment and I realised that I hadn't shown them the Triple Time Stamping technique, which I just love.

Such a gorgeous, soft, girly card and I love the stamp set Everything Eleanor. Isn't it a beautiful technique too and so easy to make, as my class girls will find out on Saturday.

But when I was making this card, I thought how gorgeous it would be as a Scrapbook page. So the cogs started turning and I pulled out some cardstock and alittle while later and this is what I came up with...

OMG totally love how this came out. It's just so perfect for this photograph of me with my mum and my daughter on her Baptism day. A beautiful girly layout for three gorgeous ladies.

Oh and aren't those ribbon flowers simple lovely, I have a close up of them here.

So easy to make too. Gotta love easy lol.

While I was in town this morning I saw that my local Big W were selling 12x12 shadow box frames for $15 each and I had grabbed a couple on impulse, so now I have the perfect layout to put in one of them. The only problem is, when my mum sees this she'll be asking to take it home with her for her house lol

Have fun,
Chlo
