Onstage Live Swaps - Snow is Glistening Stamp Set

I love Onstage. I love the catching up with old friends and making new ones. And the best way to do that is by making a swap.

So for those who don't know, a swap is a card front or 3D item that you make in bulk, which you then swap with other demos. I made 50 swaps to take with me to Orlando and i swapped them with 50 demo's. Which meant I brought 50 totally different cards home/ How cool is that!

I decided that I wanted to use the brand new, Snow is Glistening stamp set with the coordinating Snowfall Thinlit dies.

Honestly this set is absolutely beautiful and my photo's really don't show just how shimmery my card is:

I recently ordered the shimmer paints in Bright Copper and Frosted White and I have been wanting to play with them. I added a few drops of the shimmer paint to one of our spritzers and filled the rest with alcohol. This means that when I sprayed the cardstock the alcohol evaporates immediately and so it dries super fast.

I used one of the metal snowflake thinlit dies as a stencil and spritzed the shimmer paint to make my background. It really is stunning and so soft and glittery.

Now I know most people in Australia will say that snowflakes on Christmas cards aren't really traditional here, but the sentiment I used isn't actually themed for Christmas and so you could send this gorgeous card to anyone for any reason.

So once I got the hang of mixing my shimmer paints, I then decided to try changing the colours. Easy Peasy!! I added a few drops of reinker (the more drops, the darker the colour. I used about 4x for my shade), with a few drops of Frosted white shimmer paint and then filled the rest with Alcohol, and this was what I got:

Highland Heather and Coastal Cabana. Aren't they beautiful! I really couldn't decide which was my favourite and when I was swapping my card with others, they couldn't decide either.

Now of you would like to order the Snow is Glistening stamp set or the Snowfall thinlets, just pop over to MY STORE. Remember that this bundle is only available until Nov 30th or while stocks last. So please don't miss out!

Thank you for visiting and Happy Crafting,

Orlando Onstage Report - Centre Stage and Onstage Live

What can I say but WOW!!! What an amazing week I've had. I honestly can't believe that after all the planning and the prep Onstage has been and gone and I am already back home in Australia.

Those of you who follow my Facebook Page (Find it HERE) will have already been sharing the journey with me, but I also wanted to post my adventures here too, for those who may not have seen it.

CentreStage:

CentreStage was amazing. I checked into the convention centre at 12pm and collected my gorgeous bag and all my ribbons for my lanyard. I was so excited to see my Silver Elite title ribbon and my CentreStage Attendee ribbon, but that wasn't the only surprise. I had also received a ribbon for level one in Leadership. I had no idea I would be receiving that.

I caught the bus to Epcot to spend the day with 100's of other Silver Elite and above demo's. I was so lucky to be Adopted by two gorgeous American demos, Sandy Hancock and Carol Nordquist. They both really looked after me all day and well into the evening. Stampin' Up! had put on a dessert platter in the evening plus Karaoke. My goodness those demo's could sing. I got home around 9pm and couldn't believe what an amazing day I had had, and the fun was only just beginning!!

Onstage Live:

Ok so this is about to get very photo heavy...

All I'm going to say about this is... YOU... MUST... GO... TO.... ONE!!!

If you are a demo and have never been to an onstage event, you need to make it your goal this year to attend one. The information, friendships, resources and of course the freebies, make this an experience every Stampin' Up! Demonstrator should have. I learn so much one these 1 day or 3 day events that it totally makes it worth wild. I have made friends with some of the biggest demo's around, i have gained so much information and knowledge that it makes the cost Priceless!!

And if you aren't a demo yet, why not? Whether you would love a permanent discount off everything you purchase, or would like to earn an income to help pay some bills. I joined for the friendship and the like minded people, who are as crazy about craft as I am. The fact that I can go to these events is really the icing on the cake!!

So If you have every even, for one moment thought about becoming a demo, please, please, please, contact me and let us talk about it. I can answer any questions and support you the whole way. My crazy Closet Crafters would love to welcome you to our family!! and talking about my team, here is a few photo's of some of my girls who went off to attend the Onstage Local event in Brisbane:

Phew.... what a week. Thank you so much for dropping by and for continuing to support my business. You guys mean the world to me. I have come home with lots of ideas, so look out 2019, I'm coming for you!!

Onstage Display Cards Day 3 - Lift Me Up

Yeah it's Friday and day 3 of my Onstage Display samples. Today both cards are from the Lift Me Up stamp set and matching dies. The first one is a little more vintage then my usual style, but it's my Phileas Fogg card:

It's very soft and feminine and because I was looking for that 1700's vintage feel, I used Very Vanilla and added some sponging and stitching.

How much easier will it be to achieve that gorgeous stitching look with out new Stitched Framelits. I just checked my delivery and they should be here today... Squeal!!

The colours I've chosen for the balloons, Blushing Bride, Rose Red and Wisteria Wonder, are also some of my less favourite but they really work well together and I always like to be pushed outside of my comfort zone. It's like a little mini challenge.

Ok so on to my next one. This card couldn't be more different to my first one. It's so bold and bright and the colours really pop against the black die cut.

I just love the how you can layer cardstock or patterned paper behind this balloon and it really is easy to do. The panels fit perfectly, without them overlapping at all.

I decided to use clear embossing powder and heat set my floating balloons. I wanted them to be more for texture rather then visual and I think that worked perfectly. When you catch them in the light they really are shiny.

Lastly, my card needed a sentiment and I had no idea where it was going to go at first. After some thinking I decided to go for a bit of gold embossing on the main card. Now this is always scary to do, especially when you have the whole card put together already. But I do love to stamp on the edge and so I used my trusty Stamp-a-ma-jig and it all came together perfectly.... Phew!!

Would you like your very own copy of the new Occasions Catalogue?? I actually received 5 copies at onstage as part of Prize Patrol and I've decided to offering them out to the first 5 people who place a $50 order through my online store. Unfortunately this offer is only available to Australian residents.

And don't forget I still have a few of the Pop Up bins available too. So head on over to my shop place a $50 order today and you will receive a copy of the Occasions Catalogue and also a pop up bin. But this is only for the first 5 orders, so be quick and order today!! Oh remember to check out the 25% off stamps that are currently on sale too!!
