Great Class!!

Yesterday was my first class and I have to say it was so much fun!! I think the girls enjoyed it as much as I did. Everyone's cards came out beautifully and all were pleased with what they could make.

I thought I would finally share what the cards were that we made...

This first one is a swing card. I found inspiration from Dawn Griffith's Website. She's awesome!!

This was the Gated card we made. This is a big fav at the moment on Pinterest.

And lastly, the trusty Easel card. I used the cut out and negative of the smallest Framelit to do the masking technique.

And here are some photos of what the table looked like before the scrapping begun. I actually forget to get any of the actual card making. Having too much fun I guess lol!!

I'm not sure if you noticed, but on the table I also made a little treat bag, using the biggest Framelit as the base, for each of my girls. I filled them with little chocolate stars. The idea came, yet again, from Pinterest. From a blog called Jill stamps.

They were super easy to make too. Just find the middle of the Framelit and score 1/2" either side to make a flat bottom and then decorate!!

So all in all a great first class and everyone was keen to book in for next month!! If you would be interested  in joining us and wanted more information or a class list, just give me shout.

Have a great weekend,
Chlo

Festive Friday #26 Challange

I fancied a challenge today and after looking through my usual list of challenge sites I found one over on Nicole Derendorf's Blog that tickled my fancy. I thought to myself, what could be better then a Christmas challenge using my least favorite colour Blushing Bride!!

Every Friday, Nicole holds a Festive Friday Challenge and this week it's a colour challenge.

All the other colours are my go to colours, but I have a love hate relationship with Blushing Bride. I think it's a really dirty pink colour... however I love the pleated ribbon in that colour. Go figure!!

So my card, that started out totally different to how it finished up, uses both what I love, pleated ribbon, with what I hate, Blushing Bride lol.

Unfortunately my Crumb Cake stamped snowflake background hasn't really come out in the photo which is a shame. I really need to get some sort of photo booth set up...

I popped the little snowman up with a dimensional and then added a Very Vanilla button... I just love this little guy, he's such a Christmas Cutie lol.

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend,
Chlo

Going, going, soon to be Gone!!

Not only are we half way through the year, but we are also coming to the end of our Autumn/Winter Mini Catalogue!!

I haven't seen the carry over list, so not sure what is staying and what is going, but would suggest you get in quick with any orders for goodies that you would hate to say good bye to.

I for one, will miss the Pleated Ribbon. I'm surprised how much nicer it actually is in real life. It would have been nice to see it move over to the new catalogue in some different colours!! What will you be sad to see go?

If there is anything you would like to order from Autumn/ Winter Mini or the Main Ideas Catalogue, just contact me HERE and I can sort it out for you. And you don't even have to live near by, as I can have your supplies posted to you anywhere in Australia... How good is that!!! So if you haven't already got a Demonstrator and you would like a copy of any of the Catalogues, just let me !!

Have a good weekend,

Now to Wow

Morning folks,

I have been Pining like mad lately. I find I go through stages, sometimes it's weeks since I've been on Pinterest and then I get on and start pining up a storm.

We'll last night I found this gorgeous card made by Jen Sannes over on her blog at Simple and Sincere. I loved everything about it, the colours are so fresh and bright, the layout is so clean and I love the Rock and Roll technique used. So I pretty much did an exact CASE of the card...

I loved how it turned out and I think it will be perfect for my next work shop. Then I wanted to see if I could change it up a little and turn it into a Wow card...

Isn't gorgeous!!! I didn't really change much. I swapped out the Whisper White for Very Vanilla and also added a Very Vanilla frame around the CS. And then a sponged everything, which I always think makes a huge impact and lastly I rock and rolled the little circle stamp which is also in the Mixed Bunch set and popped that up with a dimensional and some bling for the centre.

Simple but super effective!!!

But I'm not stopping there, I dreamt all night about the different colour combos I could do... Tell me I'm not the only one who dreams about crafting lol.

So once the kids are off for a morning sleep I'll be putting those dream colours together lol... I can't wait!!!

Have Fun,
Chlo

Ssshhh secret Birthday Card...

I suppose it makes perfect sense that my friends and family all expect a handmade card from me. But some times it's hard to keep them a secret. And this is also sometimes due to the fact I forget they occasionally pop by my blog and see I have accidential uploaded their card... Opps!!!

Today's birthday card is for Amy, my bestie and new Godmother!! She turned the big 30 last week and I of course I wanted to make her a gorgeous birthday card.

I think I can honestly say I now love all the 2012/2013 In Colours... even though it's taken me a year to appreciate them!! This card is using the gorgeous Pool Party and Wisteria Wonder combo. I also paired the In-colour ruffled ribbon with the In-colour bakers twine... it's just so divine!!

I also re-stamped back over the image with Iridescent Ice, which you can just make a little of the twinkle out!!

Amy was over the moon with her card (and her present which was of course Stampin' Up goodies!)

Thanks for visiting, have fun!!

Baptisms Galore!!

Not sure why that is, but Hubby and I have been to our local Catholic churst quiet a few times in the last few weeks.

First off, we had our children's Baptism a few weeks ago. It was a gorgeous, sunny, winters day and all our close friends turned up super smart. It was extra special for me, as my Mum and Step-Dad happened to be visiting us from the UK, so it was nice to share this special event with them.

Our Family all dressed in our Sunday best!!!
Me and my lovely Mummy xx

Us with our beautiful God Mothers and my besties Tracey and Amy.

So two weeks after our Baptism, my bestie Tracey, had her youngest Baptised too. It was lovely day and I decided to make a Baptism card for her. Only problem was, I had nothing remotely reglious in my Stampin' Stash?!?!

Good ol' Google came to the rescue and after a quick search I can across this gorgeous dress design on SCS by StampandShout. So I thought I would give it a try and this is how it came out...

I was pretty pleased with the result and it only took about 10 minutes to put together. The photo's terrible I'm afraid but it had to be taken straight away.

Oh and the vellum I used was already printed and had been hidden in my scrap stuff for about 5yrs!!!

Have Fun,
Chlo
