The weather here in Port is horrible to say the least. The rain is pouring and the kids all seem to have cabin fever.
I was feeling a little bit uninspired and so went "surfing" for a good challenge to get the creative juices flowing. I came across this blog called The Dynamic Duos Challenge and it looked very interesting. You have to make a card using only the weekly Dynamic Duo colours plus a neutral of black, white, vanilla or kraft.
One of this weeks colours fitted right into my mood... Basic Gray!!
I have to admit, I don't think I've ever used Basic Gray before and would never have thought to put it with a pink colour. But I guess that's what challenges are all about.
I had to make a "Moving House" card for my special friend Candi so I thought this would be a good time.
I actually didn't have any Basic Gray ink, so instead I used silver embossing powder for the Cuckoo clock, which luckily the camera picked up.
I'm surprised at how much I liked the two colours together. Not sure I'll be using them again straight away, any time soon, but I was still pretty pleased with the card it's self. Oh and Candi loved it too !!
Hope you week is drier then mine,
Have Fun,
Chlo
