Not so traditional Christmas Card - Tropical Chic

Happy Christmas Eve everybody!! Can you believe the big day is just one more sleep away and I for one can't wait for tomorrow. The kids faces in the morning, the traditional roast turkey and all the trimming, the Christmas crackers and then a swim in the afternoon.

But as much as I love Christmas Day, I think I love Christmas Eve the most. That time in the evening, when the house is clean and quiet. The kids are in bed asleep and all the presents have been placed under the tree. THAT is my favourite part of Christmas. It's the tree's time to shine and I really love seeing it in all it's sparkly, shiny glory.

Anyway, back to my very last Christmas card for 2018. I have decided to go a little non-traditional for this card and I really do like it!

I do love cold, snowy cards and usually that's what I make, but I thought I would try something different and I love how this card came out. The flowers were inspired by my very own Hibiscus and Frangipani plants that are currently in full bloom.

I have loved this Tropical Chic stamp set as soon as I saw it in the annual catalogue and I think I need to show it a bit more love in 2019.

Well that's it for me today. I really hope you and your family have the most amazing day tomorrow. Enjoy the time together and fingers crossed you'll find some crafting time during the holidays too!!

Merry Christmas,
Chlo

The never ending Christmas list - Hearts come Home

My beautiful Nan and I got to do a bit of Christmas shopping today and it was so much fun getting to spend time with her. She's my most favourite person in the world and I miss her the most when I'm living in Australia. It's times like today that I will always cherish!!

And even though the Christmas present list, seems like it's complete, I know the Christmas cards aren't yet and to help inspire you and myself, I have another super simple but gorgeous card using the Hearts come Home Stamp set.
I think this stamp set has been my most used set from the Holiday Catalogue and I was very pleased to see that it had carried over.

I teamed up the gorgeous sentiment and stamped houses with the stunning Year of Cheer designer series paper, which I just realised has actually sold out. Not that I'm at all surpised by that, it really was lovely.

The Year-end Sale has been so hugely popular and lots of product have already sold out. If you are still wanting to grab something from the list, you better get your (ice) skates on!!

Happy Crafting,
Chlo

Hearts do come home for Christmas - Santa's Sleigh

So the kids and I are still in the UK and today we have been graced with snow!! Well when I say snow, i really mean more like sleet, which is snowy rain. And because it's too wet, the snow won't lay. Did you also know, it can be too cold to snow?!?!?

But the snow or lack of it, has not dampened our holiday and the kids loved being in the ice cold weather... me, not so much!!

But with the Christmas feeling well and truly in the air, today I wanted to share a card using the reindeer from Santa's Sleigh, coloured in with our Stampin' Blends.

I was really pleased with how this card came together and I love the layout too. I CASED the design from the uber talented Kelly Kent, and you can see her card HERE.

I really do love this sentiment from Hearts come Home. I think this year, knowing I was visiting the family for Christmas for the first time in 13 years, it was even more meaningful.

That's it from me today. I'll leave you with a family photo that my hubby took of us at Trafalgar Square. London was an amazing experiences and we even got to see the Queen!!

Happy Crafting,
Chlo

Christmas Frame - Hearts Come Home

I am so excited to share my latest creation with you all today. As soon as I saw the new Hearts Come Home bundle in the Holiday catty, this idea of a pretty lit village popped into my head. Fast forward a few weeks later and I saw a post by the amazing Kylie Henshaw on a Demo only facebook page and she had the exact same idea. I have since tracked down her website, Hello Stampers so you can see her gorgeous creation for yourself. It inspired me to get my butt into gear and create. Ok so this might get a bit photo heavy:

How cute is that!! It's like a little winters village on the day before Christmas waiting for all the excitement of Christmas Day. But this little scene really becomes magical when it gets dark out...

Eekkkk!! How gorgeous and wonderful is that and it was so simple to make. All I did was add some little fairy lights in between the little village layers and thread it thought to the battery pack which is attached to the back of the frame.

I didn't want to add to much decoration to the frame itself, as the scene is where the magic happens, but I couldn't help adding a few of the die cuts using the Snow Sentiment thinlits too, just to dress it up a little!!

So if you are still wondering what to add to your Holiday catty wishlist (remember you can order from Sept 1st) these bundles really should be at the top of the list. They really are amazing and I know I will get heaps of use from them all.

Happy Crafting,
Chlo
