Just Add Ink Challenge Theme #333 - Sunshine Wishes

I'm so excited to announce that I am one of the new Guest Designers over at Just Add Ink!! This is really a dream come true, as I have loved this blog since they started a few years ago. The team are amazing and totally awe inspiring designers and I feel very honored to be among them for the next few months.

 And my first challenge is so much fun. We have to create something with the Letter G and I instantly thought of Gold and lots of it.

Did I mention that I was using a lot of gold! This  card is actually going to a very dear friend who just received the most amazing news about something she has been working towards for the past two years. I wanted to send her a super special card to let her know how over the moon I was for her and excited about this new adventure.

To make the Congrats die cut, I coloured in some shimmery white cardstock with the gold Wink of Stella and then splattered some of it over the top. Once it had dried, I run it through the big shot. I then ran the die through again but on a piece of Early Espresso and then mounted the two together, leaving a little bit of an outline.

Can You Case It #123 Colour Challenge - Captain America

 This weeks CYCI challenge was perfect timing for me this week. The first week of June is my busiest week regarding celebrations and sending cards as I have 5 birthdays, Mum, Nan, other family and friends, plus 2 wedding Anniversary's, one of them being my own. So when I saw this weeks colour challenge, I knew it was perfect for my Nephew who turns 9's this.

I obviously had to made a Captain America card!!

Now I do understand this style of card has been made 100's of times, but not once by me and I know it's going to be loved by the recipient, so isn't that what card making is all about, sending love!!

The card really was easy to make, but to make it that little bit extra special I decided to use the red and silver foil cardstock, paired with a silver glitter star. I really wished we had some blue foil but, the new Dapper Denim colour was a great match.

I finished it all off with a Happy Birthday sentiment, punched out using the new Thoughtful Banner punch.

Now it's off to the post office all my cards go. I will share my special card for my Mum and my Nan very soon. I need to make sure they receive them first!!
