Friday Mash Up *71

I was totally feeling this weeks challenge over on the Friday Mashup's blog this week and I had the perfect, NEW, stamp set to use with it. Did I mention this is a NEW STAMP SET!!!

So here is the "Mashup" Challenge:
  1. Make a project using " Black N' White Only ."
  2. Or Make a project with " Some Bling ".
  3. Or "Mash it Up" and create a " Black N' White Project with some Bling! "
So the photo inspired me, the colours inspired me and "Bling"... well thats always a given for me!! The stamp set I've used is called "Make a cake" and will be available in the new Annual Catalogue, which is due out on 1st Sept.

This a great little stamp set and I have used two stamps to make the cake and then there are about 5 other little stamps to help decorate the top of the cake, from a heart to bunch of little fluttering butterflies. I really wanted to use the flags to give my cake a little bit more height.

I'm now off to play with more of my pre-order goodies and also try out the new, super improved stamp pads. I'll be back with an update soon.

Enjoy the rest of you weekend and Happy Stamping,
Chlo

Box of Pre-order goodies!!

There are so many things that I love about being a Stampin' Up Demonstrator, but I think right now the best part is being able to see and order early from the new Annual Catalogue and Holiday Catalogue. This is my box of pre-order that arrived this week!!

I know, I know. Not very exciting for you right now, as unfortunately I can't actually show you any of my new stuff. BUT, I can start showing you some of the cards I make with my new goodies.

So, pop in later today and I'll have uploaded at least one of the new cards I have made with some exciting new products!!

See you soon,

Do you Triple Time Stamp???

I had no idea what that was. What is Triple Time Stamping??? It was all the rage but I had no idea. So I did a Google search and came across one of my favourite US Demo, Dawn Olchefske's blog, Do Stamping.

She not only had a photo of what Triple Time Stamping looks like but... wait for it... an instruction video too!!! She's great, that Dawn.

But what IS triple time stamping. Well it's hard to explain, so instead I'll just show you...

Ok, so let me try and explain how this works. First you cut all three Very Vanilla pieces out and then you mount them on top of each other. Next stamp all over them and when you pull the apart them apart you have this great pattern. Next stick them on the Early Espresso and remember which way up they go as then you stick them all back in the same place again, on top of each other.

Is this making any sense? Anyway, here is the link to Dawn's Triple Time card and Video. She even has the measurements for you. What more can I offer lol.

Have a great weekend,
Chlo

Bye bye, Blushing Bride

I loved all of the 2010/2012 In-Colours, except Blushing Bride. Many of you will know this all ready as it's not a secret.

But lately I have come to like this dirty, pink colour. And to say farewell to it, I made a card using this colour and my most favourite retiring stamp set Vintage Vogue, for a party hosted by one of my great customers the lovely Brenda.

I am so sad to say good bye to this stamp set. I have used it so much and the cards always come out beautifully. In fact if you don't have this one, go and grab it while stocks last. You wont regret it!!

Oh and do you like the two toned flowers??? This is called the rock and rolling technique, except I have a cheats way of doing it. I stamp my flower in the lighter colour first and then instead of rolling the edges around the darker colour, I just use a stamping spot to wipe the edges like you would if you where using a sponge.

It gives the same effect without getting the wooden blocks dirty (which happens to me every time I do the normal Rock and Rolling effect).

Just a reminder, the Stampin Spots are also retiring!! I know... how could they! I love my spots and use them all the time.

So a quick recap, Vintage Vogue stamp set, the blushing bride ink and cardstock, the Stampin Spots and Very Vanilla Satin Ribbon are all going... But the Framelits are staying so that's one good thing :-)

Place an order with me quickly as the retirement list ends 31st Aug or until stocks last

Happy Stamping !!

Oh and with everything going it can only mean we have a lots of new stuff in the New Annual Catalogue (released 1st Sept)... and I mean LOTS!!!

And a quick note about the ink pads. They are going, but coming back as a reformatted ink pad. The colours are the same but the coverage is top notch!!

So take a browse through the list and grab anything you can't leave without ASAP, because when it's gone, it's gone for good!!!

Have Fun,
