TGIF Challenge #53 - Pick you Favorite!!

Wow, can you believe it's already the end of April?!? Being the end of the month also means it's the time for the TGIF crew to create a card inspired by a Favorite - whether that's a favorite designer, challenger or winner.

I decided to CASE a card that the gorgeous Jinny from ATHOME525 made last week for the Mother's day challenge. She die cut out the letters to spell the word "Thanks" and then added a different colour behind the negatives. She also add some gorgeous little flowers underneath. I just loved the clean simply lines of these little note cards so much, that I had to make one:

My card I made was designed with Mothers Day in mind. I really love this gorgeous sentiment from First Sight, but I felt that for my Mum, Mother was a little to formal, so I used the gorgeous Little Letter framelits to cut out the negative for Mum.
After adding my gold glimmer behind the negative, I also flicked or splattered some gold and clear Wink of Stella all over the front. The photo doesn't really pick it up, but it's very sparkly in real life.

So now it's your chance to pick a favorite from this month, whether is a winner, challenger or a designer and get inspired!!

Chlo

Can You Case It #117 - Colour Challenge

Welcome to a new week and a new challenge with the Can You Case It team. This week we have a colour challenge, which at first I had no idea how I was going to do it:

Even though the colours are all fairly easy and as most of you will have noticed, I love to use a lot of black and white/cream in my cards usually, however Stampin' Up! didn't actually have a peach colour... Well that was until now!!

After attending Onstage last weekend and getting to see the new annual catty, we were also able to check out the new 2016-2018 In-colours and low and behold we have a new colour called Peekaboo Peach.
Now I don't actually have the new colours in my hot little hands just yet, but I did get hold of the in-colour markers and a few little pieces of cardstock, which was just enough to use as accent colours on my card this week.

The main design of my card was really inspired by my own swap card that I made for Onstage, plus I was also curious to see if you could watercolour with the archival black, which it turns out, you can!

Now it's you turn to head on over and take part in our challenge this week. I'm so excited to see what gorgeous creation you come up with!!

Chlo

Onstage 2016 Sydney - Part Two

Hooray, the silence has been lifted and we can show and tell to our hearts content!!

Ok so I'm guessing you will be wanting to see us receiving the new catty well here are the pics.

Though I can't show you whats inside, all I can say is the catty is absolutely gorgeous and full of fantastic double page spreads with lots of ideas. The guys behind the designs this year, really have been on fire.

We got to make three different cards during make and takes. One of the cards is a cute little fold out card that is one of the designs available in one of the new card kits. Think Watercolour Wishes but bright, bold and colourful.

We also got lots of freebies!! I came home with three free stamp sets, a bag, new in-colour markers, two stamp pads, and of course heaps and heaps of fantastic swaps!! I can't wait to look through all the amazing creations that my fellow crafters have come up with.

And lastly I always come home so inspired and recharged. Brimming with ideas and inspiration and that's why I go to Convention as many times as I can... I've already booked my annual leave for Onstage Live Brisbane in November!!

Onstage 2016 Sydney - Part One

Wow what a fantastic weekend I have had in Sydney for the Onstage Local Stampin' Up! event. It was so much fun spending the weekend with some of my marvelous team, catching up with old friends and always making new ones.

We swapped, we ate, we crafted and we obviously Oohhhed and Aahhhed over the new Annual Catalogue (OMG you guys are in for a real treat!!) It really was just the best couple of days.

Now I know you are all super eager to see some of the new goodies, but unfortunately we have been sworn to secrecy until tomorrow morning, so while you are waiting for the Sneak peek post, I thought I would quickly share the little team gifts I whipped up for my gorgeous Closet Crafters:

My team colour just happens to be my favorite colour (funny that!!) which is mint green or in SU colours, that would be Pool Party or the retired Coastal Cabana. So I had to decorate my little jar to include that colour and the gorgeous Pool Party Glitter Ribbon was perfect for that!!

Inside my little jar was a few Convention survival tools - Chewing Gum, chocolate, lollies, post-it note (for sticking in the new catty) and a blinged up lanyards. I also had made some cute little keyrings that have our team name on them with a little pair of scissors, an envelop and a heart charm.

Oh and I mustn't forget the amazing team shirts that my beautiful friend and team mate Kim Fehon from Kims Paper Kraft made for us. We looked fantastic and I'm so thankful that she found the time in her super busy schedule to get them done. Thanks Kim xx

Well that's it for today, make sure you check back in tomorrow to see lots of the sneak peek goodies I wasn't allowed to share today... oh and incase you where wondering, the new catty is ... AWESOME!!

Chlo
