Just Add Ink #377 Colour Challenge - Colorful Seasons

Happy Friday everyone, today I have a fun card to share with your that I made for this weeks challenge at Just Add Ink.

The beautiful Rochelle Blok came up with this awesome colour combination, which just happens to use some of my favorite colours:

I actually borrowed the Colourful Seasons bundle from a girlfriend and couldn't resist using it for my card today. Those leaf dies and the little deck chair stamp have been calling my name for some time, so I thought today would be perfect:

The white background is embossed with the new Layered Leaves dynamic embossing folder which is so pretty and I teamed that up with the three different leaf thinlits that are in the bundle.

I stamped the gorgeous sentiment first but felt that is needed something else just to give it a little lift and so I used the two-step deck chair stamp as a lovely background to the sentiment.

These colours are just so beautiful together and when you see what the rest of the DT have come up with, you'll be straight into your craft stash, joining in!!

Kits and Stamps - Hello Friend

I love all the Stampin' Up! kits and obviously so do my class ladies, considering that tomorrow I will be running my second Kit class.

But what happens to those stamp sets that come with the kits, once the cards and been completed? They often go unloved and forgotten about. Well that doesn't have to be the way and my card that I made today just show's how fantastic these little kit stamps can be:

This card is my Thank You card for September (so if you've ordered from me this month then one of these cuties will be on it's way to you!!) The stamps have all come from the Hello Friend card kit and I just love how quick and easy this was to make.

The crumb cake flower stamp on the sentiment is actually from the wreath. I just stamped it multiply times all over the corner of the circle in varying shades.

The little flower if from a trio punch pack that retired some years ago, but it's such a beautiful little punch, I've never been able to part with it. I think it just adds that little extra elegant detail.

So next time you have finished making up one of our amazing kits, don't put the stamps back in the card box. Keep them out where you can see them as they might be exactly what you were looking for!!

ESAD Blog Hop - Welcome 2017 Holiday Catalogue

So the Holiday catalogue came out on Friday and to celebrate, the girls from ESAD decided to get together for another fantastic blog hop. So whether you started here or have hopped over from Kristal Rimmer's amazing creation, welcome.

So now's the time for what I have been busy making. I have loved all the goodies I've got so far and you would think my wish list is shrinking with each order I place but it's the complete opposite and after today's hop I know it's going to grow again!! Anyway I decided it was time to play with the Snowflake Sentiments and I love the card I created:

Now I know using a whole piece of gold glimmer cardstock is a little decadent but I love how much it sparkles and can only imagine the amazing twinkle when the Christmas tree lights hit it.

I used the matching framelits to cut out some little white snowflakes and decided to gold emboss my sentiment. A little trim of black sequins finishes everything off nicely.

And because the whole card is a little over the top, I decided to decorate the inside too. I love having the inside looking pretty but always seem to forget but not this time. A little gold embossing again on the sentiment and I used the snowflake stamp that matches the die just around the corners.

Thank you so much for dropping in today, now it's time for you to continue the fun by hopping over to Sharon Dalton and checking out her gorgeous design.

Don't forget, if you would like to purchase any of the products you've seen today, then stop by my SHOP, it's open 24/7!

Happy Crafting,
Chlo

Just Add Ink #375 Sketch Challenge - Message in a Bottle

Not only is today Friday but it is finally the 1st day of Spring and the warmer weather really can't come quickly enough for me let me tell you. And if that wasn't enough reason to get all excited then how about the fact it's also my week for JAI Blog and we have a fund sketch to share:

http://just-add-ink.blogspot.com/2017/09/just-add-ink-375sketch.html

Now anyone with school age children might instantly think this sketch looks familiar... maybe a bit like a Poker ball?!?!? I know that's what my boys said when they saw it. And as tempted as I was to make a Pokermon card I decided to make something else;

I have to admit, male cards are not my strong point and thats not to say I'm great at girly cards either but I do like to add bling and sparkle to cards. However this card was lots of fun to make and I loved having to think outside the box.

I added some embossing paste clouds in my sky and the water was made using the swirly framelit from the Sweet Cupcakes set. I love using thinlits and framelits in different ways, and in this case it gave me the perfect effect.

Well thats all from me this week. Make sure you pop over and visit the JAI crew and I hope everyone enjoys the first day of spring and fingers crossed for lots of warm sunny days to come.

Happy Crafting,
Chlo
