Artisan Showcase for April - Dandy Garden

Welcome back to another fantastic showcase with the Artisan Team. This month I'm sharing some fun cards that I created using the Garden wishes bundle and the coordinating Dandy Garden Memories and More cards.
Now these cards are usually associated with memory keeping but as I'm actually a virtual scrapper, I decided to share a few ideas on how these can be used for cardmakers too.

This first card was actually made with the premade cards and envelopes pack. I cut the card front off the card base and used it as my focal point and added vellum just to mute the brightness of it. I even cut a strip of the front of the envelope liner to add as a decorative strip on my card. Using the Dandy Wishes die to add the pops of black in the shape of Dandelions.
My second card is using the Tailored Tag punch and I just punched a couple of piece from each of the cards I could find in the memories and more pack. I pieced them all together like a jigsaw and then added a sentiment that I had cut out of one of the cards. Super quick and easy card to make.
And lastly created this card using the few bits and pieces I had left over on my desk. I decided to use the stickers from the pack for my sentiment but I wanted to give them a little it of height. So I have this old trick, where I use my embossing buddy to add powder to the back of the sticker so it loses it's stick and then I can added foam mount to give it the height I wanted!
I really hope you've enjoyed the cards today and it will get you to think aout how you can use the Memory and More card kits in your cardmaking!

Thank You - Boho Indigo

I would never have realised how perfectly Night of Navy pairs with our new 2020/22 Incolor Bumblebee. While playing around with the Boho Indigo medley I felt I needed to an an extra colour to my card and after playing with a few different colours I came across Bumblebee and it was instant perfection, as you can see on today's card.

It almost has a soft gold colour about it and I'm thinking it might be great as a Christmas colour this year. I guess we'll just have to wait and see about that!

I wanted to use the gorgeous coordinating stamp set from this range and I just love this particular little vase. The little paper, beaded flowers are also in the medley and are just the perfect finishing touch.

Oh and do you want to know a secret? The corrugated embossing folder that I've used, retired last year and this is the first time I've used in. It was still in it's packaging in fact!! My hubby would use that as evidence that I have too much stuff, where I see it that I don't have enough time to use my things... perspective I guess!

Cuppa and Card: Thank You - Bloom & Grow

I've gotten a bit behind in sharing my cards from each weeks Cuppa and Card classes. I think this particular card was actually from the class two weeks ago.

All through May, the Cuppa and Card class show cased the gorgeous Bloom & Grow stamp set which will be carrying over to the new annual catalogue, which I'm so happy about. I just love the gorgeous flow sprays in this stamp set.

This week, I used Terracotta Tile which is part of the 2019/21 incolors. It's not a favourite of mine, but I was thrilled to see how gorgeous it looks when paired with So Saffron and Petal Pink. The this colours go together perfectly!

The background on the Terracotta Tile card front was made, by inking the flower stamp in Versamark and then stamping it over and over again. This is one of my favourite techniques and I love the tone on tone effect you get. It's a brilliant way to make "patterned paper".

If you would like to take part in my June Card and Cuppa classes, drop me an email HERE and I'll will give you all the payment information. Foe more details on this online class just head on over to my Card and Cuppa page.

Stamping Sisters April Tutorial - Thanks and Blessings

So the world is certainly a strange place at the moment. I was officially made redundant for the foreseeable future and currently home schooling my Highschooler and two primary School kids. To say that's hard work would be an understatement.

But all this extra time at home has also been fun. The kids and I are finding different ways to be crafty. We've baked together, made play dough and my daughter has even taken up sewing.

I think being creative is so important, especially in times where our mental health can suffer. So this months stamping sisters tutorial couldn't come at a better time. Oh and did I mention our theme is Thanks and Blessings.

January Customer Thank Yous - Special Delivery

I have such a fun card to share with you all today. This is actually the cards that are going out to customers who order from me this month. So you might even have one coming your way!

I used a stamp set from the annual catalogue called You Always Deliver and I just thought it was really such a fun set of stamps. I think it could be pretty versatile too and would be great for male birthday cards too.

I coloured the little stack of parcels with my Blends and then decided to pair that with the new Golden Honey Designer Series Paper, which is actually a freebie from the Sale-a-bration catalogue. Very neat hey!

So much to love in the new Mini catalogue which is great as there is also so much I want from the Sale-a-bration one too. Win win I would say!!

So if you would like this cute little card turning up in your mail box this month, make sure you had over to my store and shop for all your craft supplies.

Quick and Simple Card - Free as a Bird

I was in the process of making a card on Friday for my upcoming class and couldn't decided whether I wanted to mount the card front onto a Whisper White base or Early Espresso. So I posted a poll on Facebook for help and after more then 30 responses, I was still none the wise. The vote was split. So I did the only think that I could do, I made two.

I love these little birds from the Bird Ballad designer Series paper. Unfortunately we don't have a die for them, so fussy cutting is the way to go. Unless you have an electric cutter like me and then it's literally a piece of cake.

I also did a very quick FB live video, showing a tutorial and how I made these fun cards. I have since uploaded it to YouTube for you guys to watch it too.

Card Measurements

Base: 11 1/2" x 4"
Mossy Meadow Panel: 3 1/8" x 4 7/8"
Whisper White Front: 3" x 4 3/4"

And remember, if you would like to get your hands on this stamp set, pattern paper or would just like to see what other gorgeous products are in this suite, then click on the link HERE and it will take you right to my store!!

Happy Sunday,
