Not so traditional Christmas Card - Tropical Chic

Happy Christmas Eve everybody!! Can you believe the big day is just one more sleep away and I for one can't wait for tomorrow. The kids faces in the morning, the traditional roast turkey and all the trimming, the Christmas crackers and then a swim in the afternoon.

But as much as I love Christmas Day, I think I love Christmas Eve the most. That time in the evening, when the house is clean and quiet. The kids are in bed asleep and all the presents have been placed under the tree. THAT is my favourite part of Christmas. It's the tree's time to shine and I really love seeing it in all it's sparkly, shiny glory.

Anyway, back to my very last Christmas card for 2018. I have decided to go a little non-traditional for this card and I really do like it!

I do love cold, snowy cards and usually that's what I make, but I thought I would try something different and I love how this card came out. The flowers were inspired by my very own Hibiscus and Frangipani plants that are currently in full bloom.

I have loved this Tropical Chic stamp set as soon as I saw it in the annual catalogue and I think I need to show it a bit more love in 2019.

Well that's it for me today. I really hope you and your family have the most amazing day tomorrow. Enjoy the time together and fingers crossed you'll find some crafting time during the holidays too!!

Merry Christmas,
Chlo

Butterflies Galore - Butterfly Gala Bundle

I know we are all busily getting ready for the festive season and as crafters our time is completely taken over by Christmas cards, tag making and homemade gifts. But I did recently get to see lots of new Occasions Catalogue items (which I'm super excited about) plus I got to place my Pre-Order today (One of the many demo perks. Ask me how you can be demo.) and so I decided to take a little step away from Christmas just for a moment to share a fun new product suite that can be found not only in the 2019 Occasions catalogue but also in the Sale-a-Bration offering. Yep you heard me right, some of these products can be yours for FREE!!

Tell me I'm not the only one who gave a little girly squeal when they saw that we have a NEW butterfly stamp set and coordinating punch!! The stamp set is called Butterfly Gala and it has 4 different patterned, large butterflies as well as 4 coordinating smaller ones. And the amazing punch cuts them both out at the same time!!!

But I guess your wondering where I have used the stamp set and punch? Well other then the cute little sentiment I haven't. That's because I couldn't wait to use the gorgeous Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper and the matching wooden Butterfly Elements which are both freebies in the upcoming Sale-a-Bration catalogue!!! See I told you you'll squeal!!

This new Occasions and Sale-a-bration catalogues could well be the best we've ever had and you need to get them into your hot little hands asap. Any customers who have placed an order with me over the last 6 months will receive both of the catalogues in the post over the next two week, but if YOU would like your own copy and don't already have a demo then please click the HERE and pop in your name and address, and I'll make sure one is sent to you. Unfortunately I am only allowed to send them to residents within Australia, but if you are looking for a demo in your country then head over to the Stampin' Up! website and click on Find a Demo.

Happy Crafting,
Chlo

Never Ending 50th Card - Piece of Cake

When you have a special birthday coming up and you need a special card, you can't go past a fancy fold card, but sometimes they can be super tricky and fiddly and then don't quite fold like they should.

Well I needed to make a special 50th card and decided that maybe it was time I tried out the Never Ending fold. I was pretty nervous about it, but let me tell you it was as easy as 1,2,3...

This is the starting page:

This is the second fold:

This is the 3rd fold:

And finally the last fold:

From the last fold, it will then fold around again and you will be back to the beginning!! And the actual main part of the card is only made out of two piece of cardstock, in my case I've used Petal Pink, and I think it was about 6 score lines.

I have been wanting to use the new Piece of Cake stamp set and coordinating punch ever since it arrived in my pre pre-order. I think it goes absolutely perfectly with this card.

Honestly this type of card is so simple, I think the hardest part was choosing which pieces of designer series paper I wanted to use!!

Happy Crafting,
Chlo
