Just Add Ink Challenge #387 Just add Colour - Santa's Sleigh

Yep, I'm back again with yet another post today, but this time I'm sharing my card for the Just Add Ink gang and we have a very Christmassy colour theme for you:
https://just-add-ink.blogspot.com/2017/11/just-add-ink-387colour.html
Ok, so I'm going to be completely upfront and say I hate red and green together! Yep, there I said it. Red and green really should never be seen and even though it's Christmas and traditional, I still hate it.

Which brings me on to confession number two. I didn't use Garden Green. I honestly couldn't bring myself to do it and I actually used Emerald Envy instead. You wanna see what is probably my one and only traditional Christmas card this year?!?!

Now I do really like me card. I've used an old favorite stamp set plus these two shades of red and green do look nice together. I really do think the gold glimmer Christmas tree makes the whole card pop.

I think I'll send this card to my darling Nan, who is a huge traditionalist, when it comes to Christmas. I know she will love it!!

Thanks for joining us and I do look forward to seeing all of your traditional cards this week.

Chlo

Onstage Display Stamper Blog Hop - Day 3: Heart Happiness Card in a Box

Hooray for day 3 of the Onstage Display Stamper Blog Hop. How crazy cool has it been so far!! I'm always blown away by the talent pool within Stampin' Up! demos. These girls are the cream of the crop.

Today I thought I would change it up a bit and give you a card and a box...
I know card in boxes are fairly old school these days, but they still have such a wow factor and when I saw the NEW Heart Happiness stamp set, I knew it would be perfect for this time of card.

I used the same two heart stamps and used both gold embossing powder as well as black memento ink. The smaller hearts come from the little heart die which is in the Mini Treat Bag die. I used the layering hearts to cut a few glimmer ones and then tied it all together with the "Love" sentiment found in the Sunshine Wishes die set.

The best part of this fun little card is that they fold flat and will fit into a standard size envelope and so can be posted to anyone who is special enough to receive it.

And so once again it is time to hop on over to visit Dawn Olchefske blog and take a peek at what exciting creation she has to share with us today.

Thank you for popping by and look forward to seeing you again tomorrow!

Just Add Ink #371 Just Choose Two Challenge - No Bones About It

It's Friday and how exciting to be teetering on the edge of another weekend and for those of you in Australia, only 4 more weeks of winter to go!!!

Friday also brings something fun from the JAI team and today we have a super easy challenge which I hope you all take part in. We are doing our fun Just Add Two, so it could

http://just-add-ink.blogspot.com/2017/08/just-add-ink-371just-choose-two.html

I decided to just add Kids and Patterned paper and made a fun card for my youngest son who turned 6 last week. And what kind of card would any 6yr boy want?? a Dinosaur card of course!!

He was so thrilled to get his own special "Mum made it" card, that he took it to school the next day because Tuesday is his News day.

The watercolour background is some more smooching (I love this technique) and I added a few stamped leaves to match the little ones I had fussy cut.

I also smooched the background of the embossed dinosaur just to break up his image a little more. I finished it all off with a nice big copper foiled number 6.

So if you would like to join in with the team today or would just love some great idea's for childrens cards, then why not pop over to the JAI blog and take a peek. You wont regret it!!

Just Add Ink #355 Sketch Challenge - Birthday Delivery

Welcome to another week with the gang at Just Add Ink and this week we have a fantastic sketch to share.
http://just-add-ink.blogspot.com/2017/04/just-add-ink-355sketch.html

I decided to take this sketch and make my card exactly the same. Why change perfection hey!! On this card I decided to use a few new things  that I received from Onstage too. Just to wet your appetite.

So this super cute card I made for my daughter who is turning 10 next week. She isn't really a girly girl so I do try to keep the pink level down as much as possible and nothing to over the top.

The little present stamp, the banner and sentiment are all from a new stamp set called Birthday Delivery, which will be in the up coming 2017/18 Annual Catalogue. The set really reminds me of those old Enid Blyton books I read as a kid. About Brier Rabbit and Brier Fox. The illustrations in those books are almost identical to the stamps in this set. They really are fun and a huge hit... watch this space.

Well that's it for me this week. I hope you all have a fantastic Easter and enjoy spending the time with you family. Fingers crossed the Bunny finds you and leaves you plenty of chocolate!!

Chlo

Onstage Display cards Day 1 - Lift Me Up and Carousel Birthday

I really am thrilled to finally be able to share the two stamp sets that I received from Stampin' Up! for my Display stamper duties, Lift Me Up and Carousel Birthday. Both are absolutely gorgeous and I had so many idea on how to use them.

Each day this week, I'll share two samples from the 15 that I have created... ohh it's getting exciting now!!

First up, is a card using the gorgeous Lift Me Up stamp set and it's coordinating framelits:

Can I just say that this sentiment "Sending smiles across the miles" is going to be my most used sentiment ever. Of course I adore the sentiment itself, but the font and layout is just perfect. I literally swooned when I saw this sentiment!!

How cute is this card. The paper 'Cupcakes and Carousels' pairs perfectly with this stamp set and the colours are so fresh even though the patterns have such a vintage, retro feel to them.

I love all the little clouds and the balloons that have matching framelits. It makes my job super easy!!

Ok so my next design to share with you, is a card made using the other stamp set that I received which is the 'Carousel Birthday' set.

These two sets really do pair well together and I think you see that with the DSP and Embellishment kit. Anyway, here is my second card for today:

Out of all the samples I made, this was the one I just loved the most. It's so soft and girly and would be perfect for a little princesses birthday.

Now before you ask, no there isn't a framelit for the gorgeous little carousel horse. I did actually fussy cut it out. It really wasn't too hard and it does look fantastic on the card.

I used an aqua painter to colour in the horse, this time around but I'm pretty excited about out new watercolour pencils that are coming out in the catty too. They would be perfect for this sort of fine, detailed stamp.

Well that's it for me today. Make sure you check back in tomorrow for Day Two of the Sample reveal, as I have so much more to share with you yet!!
