Artisan Showcase for July - Sweet Symmetry Suite

Gosh I seriously can't believe I'm now past half way with my time on the Stampin' Up! Artisan Design team. It's been such a fantastic ride and I have seriously enjoyed every minute of it.

But today I get to share my cards using the Sweet Symmetry Suite, which to be honest, I hadn't given a second glance in the catty, but it's now become on of my absolute favorite suites.

Photopolymer stamps are just crying out to be used in this way, creating repetitive patterns in different colours. I got my colour idea from the gorgeous coordinating designer series paper, which I then went on to use to create matching envelopes for these cute cards.

The second card was a little trickier to make as I had to keep moving and lining up with my previous stamped image. Now if you had a stamp position tool, this would be so much easier, cut I went a little old school and just created a noughts and crosses board with faint pencil lines and used that to guide where to stamp my next image. Once the inks dry, you can then just gentle rub out your pencil lines
I really do think this suite is a real winner and I know once you've checked out what the other artisans have created with it, you'll be adding this to your next order!

Cuppa and Class: Hello Friend - Bloom & Grow

Happy Monday guys. More Covid-19 restrictions are being lifted today which is very exciting for NSW. Fingers crossed, this is the start of some more freedom for us all and people can get back to normal.

I have been creating and sending cards out to everyone I know, or at least to the people who I have addresses for! So I have been needing lots of "Hello" or "Just for you" cards and that's why this weeks Cuppa and Card class card was perfect to send out and let someone know you are thinking of them.

I have been showing off the gorgeous blooms in the Bloom & Grow stamp set, in all of their glory, but I wanted to change things up a little this week and so I've stamped the sentiment across the stitched circle. This way you only get to see a little of the image.
Top Tip - When adding thin die cuts to your card, they often get lost and need to be raised or mounted. It can be tricky to cut foam mount to fit on the back of the die as it's so fine, so my tip is to cut a few of the same die out and then stack them on top of each other. I find between 3 or 4 die cuts does the job beautifully.

I couldn't help but add a little piece of the Seaside Spray ribbon that coordinates beautifully with the Seaside Spray card base. One of my favourite things about Stampin' Up! is how everything coordinated so well with each other.

Cuppa and Cards: Hello - Bloom and Grow

I'm so excited to be able to share my first Cuppa and Card, card with you all. This month, every card will show case the gorgeous Bloom and Grow stamp set.

My first card was totally inspired by a card that I saw my beautiful Friend Louise Sharp create almost a year ago. You can see Lou's beautiful card HERE.

I wanted the gorgeous flower stamp to be the hero of this card and kept the colouring pretty basic.

I'm still, after 3 years, in love with my Stampin' Blends. I literally use them every day and they were the best investment ever. If you haven't taken the leap into alcohol markers just yet, then these are the pens for you. They are so easy to use and the fact they coordinate with our cardstock is such a bonus.

If you would like to join my Cuppa's and Cards class, hop on over to page which you can find HERE. All the details on how to join us, can be found there.

Memories in the Making - Project Life cards

I did warn you that I was totally, head over heels, in love with the new Project Life kit Memories in the Making, found in the Occasions catalogue.

I need to send out my Thank You cards for my customers last month and decided to use these stunning cards. When I usually PL, I only tend to use the 4x6 or the 3x2 cards and always have the 4x4 ones left over... well not any longer!!

Aren't they cute! and I honestly made them all within 10 minute. I cut my card base to be the same size as the PL card and just stuck them straight on. Something I've never done before, as I tend to mat and mount everything, but loved sticking them flush to the base... it was rather freeing.

I Can't believe this gorgeous Stamp set leaves us in 5 days.

The Hello stamp is a Sale-a-Bration freebie, but was one of the sets that had a limited time period and would then be replaced with something new. Sky's the Limit stamp set is the other stamp that will be replaced on 15th Feb.

Sale-a-Bration items are a free gift with every $90 order, so make sure you don't miss grabbing these sets ASAP!!

Oh and don't forget that one of the freebies that you can choose in the Sale-a-Bration catalogue is the Specialty cards that match this awesome PL set. So you could choose to buy the PL bundle - Stamps, Card kit and Embellishments, then choose the Specialty cards as your freebie, Win, Win!!

Can You Case It? #106 - Sketch Challenge

Hi guys, hope everyone had a fantastic weekend! I'm kicking my crafting week off with a new card designed for the Can You Case It? team. This week we have an awesome sketch challenge for you all:

As soon as I saw this sketch, I just knew my Project Life cards would be absolutely perfect. Plus I had just received the new Project Life Bundle "Memories in the Making" which is in our current Occasions catalogue, plus I also got the matching cards (for FREE) from the Sale-a-Bration catty too.

The sentiment was made using the Hello stamp set (which is a SAB freebie but only until 15th Feb!) which I heat embossed on some watercolour paper. The little wooden arrow is from the Project Life Accessory kit, which is full of gorgeous little stickers, letters, washi tape and other awesome goodies.

The two cards behind the sentiment are from the Project Life kit itself and I just adored the colours in this kit. I had planned to just place the cards onto a plain white background, but it just wasn't working for me, so I grabbed the stamp set that you can buy with the cards and accessory kit in a bundle, and stamped my own patterned paper. Clever hey!!

These kits really are brilliant value for money and aren't just from scrapbookers or Project Lifers. They are perfect for a quick but still cute card.

So now it's over to you. Pop over to the CYCI? blog and take a look at what the other DT's have made and have ago yourself. I would love to see what you have created!!

Happy crafting,
Chlo
