Nipper of the Year

I can't believe that Summer is just around the corner and that means a new season of Nipper starts any day now. My eldest loved her first nipper season and can't wait for the Sundays at the beach to start again.

Now I have to admit that I have been very slack with my scrapping lately and even though DD was picked Nipper of the Year for her age group last year and I had taken heaps of photos of her with her awards, I still hadn't scrapped them... until now that is!!

After we made a Sunburst card for class, I decided that it would make the perfect layout for a day at the beach, or in my case, a life as a Nipper.

I really love how using Daffodil Delight and Pumpkin Pie together with some sponging has given this layout a brilliant sun ray effect.

I also used the Gorgeous Grunge Stamp set to add some texture to the Crumb Cake cardstock, to resemble sand. Pretty clever I thought! Oh and did you notice the orange chevron washi tape? That's from the new Holiday Catalogue, part of the Halloween washi pack.

Anyway, this layout has been such a hit, my Scrapbooking class next month will be making one for themselves!!

Have fun,
Chlo

Triple Time Happiness

Morning Guys,

I've some how manged to not only get all the kidlits into school on the same day BUT I also have no housework or little jobs to do today, which means one whole day (between the hours of 9am -3pm anyway) of craft time. Can I hear a Woo Hoo!!!

So today, I wanted to share two of my latest creations with you all. First off is a card that I made for my Card Class which is on this upcoming Saturday. I love to teach my girls different techniques or trends that are hot at the moment and I realised that I hadn't shown them the Triple Time Stamping technique, which I just love.

Such a gorgeous, soft, girly card and I love the stamp set Everything Eleanor. Isn't it a beautiful technique too and so easy to make, as my class girls will find out on Saturday.

But when I was making this card, I thought how gorgeous it would be as a Scrapbook page. So the cogs started turning and I pulled out some cardstock and alittle while later and this is what I came up with...

OMG totally love how this came out. It's just so perfect for this photograph of me with my mum and my daughter on her Baptism day. A beautiful girly layout for three gorgeous ladies.

Oh and aren't those ribbon flowers simple lovely, I have a close up of them here.

So easy to make too. Gotta love easy lol.

While I was in town this morning I saw that my local Big W were selling 12x12 shadow box frames for $15 each and I had grabbed a couple on impulse, so now I have the perfect layout to put in one of them. The only problem is, when my mum sees this she'll be asking to take it home with her for her house lol

Have fun,
Chlo

Upcoming Class Dates

So, the real important news of today is that my scraproom is finally all set up and that means that I can finally get back to running classes for you all... Yippee!!

I have two sets of dates for you. The first are for my monthly Card Classes which will run every second Saturday of the month (expect for this month as I'm running late) and the second lot of dates are for my new Scrapbooking Classes which will run the last Thursday of the month:

Card Class Dates

Sat 24th Aug @ 2pm
Sat 14th Sept @ 2pm
Sat 12th Oct @ 2pm
Sat 9th Nov @ 2pm
Sat 14th Dec @ 2pm
Sat 11th Jan @ 2pm

 Scrapbook Classes

Thurs 29th Aug @ 7.30pm
Thurs 26th Sept @ 7.30pm
Thurs 31st Oct @ 7.30pm
Thurs 28th Nov @ 7.30pm
Thurs 30th Jan @ 7.30pm

Ok so with all my classes it will be first come, first serve and I'm looking at groups of 6 for each date. Card Classes will be $20 unless specified and Scrapbook Classes will be $20 too.

With regards to my scrapbooking classes, I plan to do a mixture of single and double layouts and try to show you how to incorporate stamps as well as making your own embellishments. It may be a little bit of trial and error to start with so please stay with me :-)

"But what about Christmas?" I hear you say. Yes don't panic, I will be doing a few Christmas card classes separately to my usual monthly card class, so stay tuned for those dates too.

Well that’s all from me for now. To book into any of the classes or you want some more info on anything, then you can send me an email

Have Fun,
Chlo
