Hooray for Birthday Week - Day 1: Number of years

Woot woot and welcome to the first day of my super exciting birthday week celebrations. Everyday this week I will be blogging a birthday card in celebration of my birthday on Sunday.

Now some of you will remember I mentions that my darling Nan will be turning 80 this year and I decided that her card would be the first one I make. I wanted it to be super special, but nothing too over the top. It also has to be reasonable flat as otherwise Australia Post tends to get a little cranky about it!!

I absolutely love making Joy fold cards and thought this would solve all my problems. It looks like a work of art without adding to much weight.

I gold embossed those special numbers and then cut them out with the matching framelits. In the banner (which also has a matching framelits) I stamped the word Birthday. Unfortunately I didn't take a photo of the inside, but it says, "The numbers of years the world has been a better place with you in it." Such a gorgeous sentiment.

This stamp set and framelits bundle really is a must have and I think you all need to add it to your shopping basket today!!
