TGIF Pick Your Favorites Challenge #75 - Santa's Sleigh

It's Friday, it's the start of a long weekend and it's my week with TGIF!! That is what we call a Trifecta!!
http://tgifchallenges.blogspot.com/2016/09/tgifc75.html
Being the end of the month means this weeks challenge is a Pick you Favorites theme and I really do love these weeks. I had a look back at all the cards that have been posted over the last few weeks and one of them really stood out. It was Jeanna's card from last weeks stitching challenge. I just loved the simply clear lines and the clever idea to stitch all the embellishments together. So that was the inspiration for my card today:
You might be wondering if I actually own any other Christmas stamps and the short answer is yes, BUT I just adore this Bundle. It's not one of the cheapest sets in that Catalogue and so I want to get my money's worth out of it. This will be my 4th card made with this set, and if you check back in tomorrow for World Card Making Day, I may have another!!

I actually loaded my bobbin up with our gold metallic thread and then used the copper thread on the spool, so the stitching actually has both colours running through it.

I inked up the Christmas tree from the set in Versamark and stamped that all over the Emerald Envy cardstock to make the background. I love how Versarmark leaves such a subtle stamped image.

If you would like to buy the Santa's Sleigh bundle, then click HERE and it will pop you straight over to my store. And if you are looking for inspiration make sure you check out these cards: Z-fold and Santa's Reindeer, !!

Oh and don't forget to pop back in tomorrow for lots of World Card Making Day or #WCMD fun!!

Happy Crafting,
Chlo

Twist and Pop Fold Card - Sweet Cupcake

I absolutely love the card I'm sharing with you all today and I really thought it would be so much harder to make then it actually was.

Today I made a Twist and Pop card for my step Dad's 50th Birthday:
So the front doesn't look anything too special and that was on purpose. I didn't want to to detract from the gorgeousness of the inside

How fantastic are these cards!! I honestly, couldn't get a good enough photo of it to show how amazing it is. I think I will have to do a video for you all!!

I used lots of gold and glitter, after all it is a 50th, to really make the card stunning.

I decided to use the Sweet Cupcake bundle to decorate the inside, as everyone loves cupcakes!!

So, now I have to pop this in the post and send it off to India where my parents live for 6 month of the year. They have such a fun life!!

Happy Crafting,
Chlo

Global Design Project #054 Sketch Challenge - Tin of Tags

I finally found some crafting time in my schedule this week and decided to tackle a card using the new sketch challenge over at the Global Design Project.
http://www.global-design-project.com/2016/09/global-design-project-054-sketch.html
I just love sketch challenges and this one was so easy to do and I just adore the card I came up with. And what's even more exciting, is that I have now ticked off yet another Christmas card for the family. I might actually get them sent ahead of schedule this year!

How gorgeous is the DSP on this card!! The paper is from the Presents and Pinecones DSP and I just adore the mix of Emerald Envy and Mint Macaroon together.

The sentiment on the banner is actually from the Tin of  Tags stamp set, along with the snowflake that I stamped all over the background.

This card really was super fast to make and I think you could make a lot in very little time... perfect for the silly season!!

If you would like to buy any of the items I have used today, please head on over to my store by clicking HERE!

Happy Crafting,

TGIF theme challenge #73 - Detailed Floral Thinlits

Wow, what a crazy busy week it's been. The kids seem to have heaps on, hubby had been flying all over the country for work and I've been getting lots of crafty stuff done. Then suddenly Friday has sneaked up on me and I suddenly remembered it was my week for DT at TGIF. Luckily I have a gorgeous card to share this week.

Firstly here is the sketch for this weeks challenge:

http://tgifchallenges.blogspot.com.au/2016/09/tgifc73.html

And now to share my gorgeous little card:

I actually used this card for my class this week too, I love killing to birds with one stone, and it was such a big hit. The Detailed Floral thinlits really are fantastic no matter which colour you use. On this card I wanted the negative space to be the hero which is why I used Dazzling Diamonds glimmer paper for the background.

I never really make a lot of soft girly cards, even though I really love them. But this card is off to my kids teacher as a little thank you for all that they have done this year. Those teachers really do put in lots of hours and a little Thank You goes along way!!

Well that really is all from me today. I'm off to my craft room and get ready for my weekend of workshops!!

Make sure you pop over and check out what the other DT's have come up on the blog. I love being a part of such a fantastic and talented team!!

Happy Crafting,
Chlo
