Share the Sunshine - COVID-19 Giveback

I have had such a fantastic morning creating some absolutely beautiful cards using the new "Share the Sunshine" printable PDF.

This digital stamp set is jam packed with both lighthearted and thoughtful sentiments relevant to the unique COVID-19 and social distancing situation we are currently in.

You can use the download to make some fun themed cards or use it to document this time in your scrapbooking. Just print it off onto our fantastic whisper white cardstock and then use our dies and punches to cut them out. Plus 100% of the proceed are going to either the World Health Organization or United Way Worldwide. You can choose which organization gets it.

So I paired the sentiments from the PDF with a technique I'm been desperate to try since seeing the amazing Kelly Kent's cards, which you can see HERE. It's called the Double Wonder Technique and it allows you to create 6x cards with just one piece of 6"x12" designer series paper.

This idea came from the fantastic Julie Davison and if you pop over to her BLOG, you will find a video and even a template. That girl just thinks of everything!

So let's take a look at all the cards I made. I warn you, this is about to get photo heavy!!

Aren't they all fantastic and I only used 2x sheets of Real Red, 1x sheet of Flirty Flamingo, half a sheet of Whisper white and basic black and of course a piece of 6" x 12" piece of designer series paper. In this case I couldn't resist using up some more of the gorgeous From My Heart paper, which is still available in the mini catalogue.

There are 15 pages of sentiments in the Share the Sunshine PDF which gives you heaps of different sentiments, some are black and some are in colour. The cost of the digital stamps is $12 USD which works out around $20 Australian, which I think is a fantastic deal, plus it's all for charity. If you would like to send your friends and family some COVID themed cards then click HERE to purchase your PDF today.

Happy Social Distancing,
Chlo

Happy 13th Birthday Darling - Bonanza Buddies

My beautiful daughter turned 13 today and I wanted to make her the prettiest "non" girly card I could. She's such a tomboy. She's into sports, super hero's, footy, skateboards and sewing. Yep, she's a total contradiction and I think that's who she'll be forever. We love her for it.

Her favourite colour is mint and so I obviously started with some pool party and couldn't help but add just a little glimmer.

osh I love this card. It's so soft and pretty without being pink and over the top. The copper glimmer is perfect against the petal pink in the designer series paper. And yes I did use the Scripty background embossing folder again. Seriously if I haven't convinced you to buy this yet, I must be doing something wrong!

I love the crispness of the white scalloped rectangle and the little white sentiment
strip ties them together. The sequins from Worn Thread just add the perfect finishing touch.

And here is a photo of the birthday girl herself. It's hard having a Covid-19 birthday, being stuck indoors, but a delivery of Nutella donuts for breakfast is always a great way to start the day!!

Happy Crafting,
Chlo x

Thinking of You - Painted Poppies

I'm seriously loving the Painted Poppies stamp set and today I got to use some of those beautiful coordinating sequins on my card too.

This card matches my card from Monday (you can see that one HERE) plus the card I created for the Stamping Sisters tutorial bundle, where I've used the Triple Time Stamping technique.

This card is very quick and clean with some very simply stamping. A great card for anyone to make whether you're a beginner stamper or more advanced but need to make a few cards in a hurry.

The background has been created by stamping a few of the flower and leaf images in Sahara sand on whisper white cardstock. I then stamped the sentiment straight on top with Tuxedo Black. If you are a little nervous about direct stamping, you can always use your Stamparatus for that. It's the perfect tool and you will get a great image every time!

How cute are those sequins?!? Did you realize they come in little flower shaped sequins as well as the flat kind. Just so darling.

I hope you are all finding some craft time, while in isolation. It's certainly great for your mental health and it's awesome if you send the cards you make too!!

Happy Crafting,
Chlo

Online Classes - May 2020

I'm one of those people who is always the optimist and can't help but find a silver lining in most situations and during this awful time of self isolation and social distancing, I can't believe how important our craft time has become. But it has been some weeks since I saw my girls in class and I really do miss them. Well today I have sat down to see just how we can over come this and I have a cunning planning... I am going to launch some ONLINE card classes. This means, I can open up my virtual space to all of you in Australia!

The idea is that we will connect through either Zoom or FB Lives. We will still craft and chat and catch up. We can then send those gorgeous cards out to our friends and families to let them know we are thinking of them all. What could be more joyful then receiving a handmade card in the mail, just because.

I have two different online classes available and you can choose to join into one, or the other or both. It's completely up to you. See below for all the details.

Classic Classes

Date: 12th May and 26th May.

Payments Due: 30th April.

Time: 1.00pm - We will be using Zoom to craft and connect. The same class will be rerun again at 7.30pm as FB Live. The video will be saved in case you miss the live itself.

Cost: $20

Info: In my Classic Class, we will create 3x cards. Card Kits will be posted out to you beforehand. You will need to use your own inks, stamps and adhesive and because of this, I have reduced the cost of the class.

Cuppa and Cards Class

When:  Each Thursday
*1.00pm - We will be using Zoom to craft and connect.
*7.30pm - FB Live. The video will be saved in case you miss the live itself.

Cost:  Class is free, but you will need to pre-purchase the following items through myself, by 28th April:

Bloom & Grow stamp set: $45.00 - 149229
2019/21 Incolour Cardstock pack: $15.75 - 149702
Woven Thread Sequins: $8.75 - 149498

Info:  This is something a little different that I thought I would trial. At the beginning of each month, those who have purchased the products, will receive a package of 5x card kits. We will get together each week to create one card over a cuppa.

I really hope to "see" you guys all again sometime soon!
