It takes a Great Guy - A Good Man

With Father's Day just around the corner, I thought I would make another card with the stamp set called A Good Guy. All week I have been sharing cards with this set, because I know how hard man's cards can be, but this stamp set has really inspired me, which is so not the norm, I thought I would run with it.
This card is another quick and simple, where yet again the Blends are the stand out feature. I often get asked how tricky are they to use and I think with this stamp set in particular, they really are easy. In fact, to prove how easy they are I have done a video tutorial for this card, so you can see for yourself, in real time, how easy they are to use.

Oh and as always, here are the card measurements for this particular card:

Base: 11 1/2" x 4"
Basic Gray: 5 1/2" x 3 3/4"
Basic Gray: 5 3/8" x 3 5/8"
Old Olive: 1 1/2" x 5 3/8"
Black banner: 3/4" x 3 5/8"
Pumpkin pie 1/8" x 3 5/8"

And here's the video tutorial for you all too. Enjoy x

Don't forget you can purchase anything you've seen today, over at my online store and have it shipped to you, anywhere in Australia.

Feel's like Spring - Piece of Cake

Happy Monday guys, I hope you've had a fantastic weekend. It's been very cold and windy here and I'm really looking forward to Spring, which inspired my card this week.

I found this beautiful card on Pinterest by Chris Slogar. Chris had made this card design in three different colours and I just couldn't wait to make a similar card. You can see Chris's amazing cards over on her blog: Buckeye Inklings.

This is my version:

It's seriously so bright and cheerful and just makes me think of warm days, time with the family enjoying the sun. I really loved colouring the fun cake on this card. I seriously can't put my Stampin' Blends away at the moment (which I think you'll realize over the next couple of weeks!)

And can we just talk about this stunning new embossing folder!! I have all the love eyes for this one. The text is so soft and gentle but still gives the perfect amount of impact. Another item you guys NEED to order right away.

So here's to a fantastic week with lots of crafting on the horizon... hopefully!!

Happy Crafting,
Chlo

Scan N Cut Tutorial: How to cut around stamped images - Bloom and Grow

I'm sharing another super simple tutorial on what I really use my Scan N Cut for, 90% of the time. And that is to cut around my stamped images that I don't have dies for.

This really is the main reason for my purchase of this machine and the scanning function is what sold this elecrtic cutter over all the others.

This tutorial is simple, easy and saves me so much time. especially at Christmas time when I may be mass producing cards.

As always, the stamps, inks, embellishments and pattern paper that I share in these videos can all be purchased, through me, at my online store.

I also get asked a lot about this awesome mat that I have been using in my videos. It is called an Artistix Direct mat and it comes from a company in the UK. I honestly can't tell you how this mat has changed my Scan N Cut experience for the better and even though I have gone through 5 Brother mats, within 3 months, I have had this one Artistix Mat for almot 6 months and it is still as good as the first time I used it. And yes the do sell a mat for the DX version too. I also have now got 5 other friends onto these mats and they can't believe the difference.

So head over to the website and check them out for yourself, it will be the best thing you buy yourself, I promise!!:  https://www.artistixdirect.com/brother.html.

A Tri Fold Triangular Card - It Starts With Art

Today's tutorial is called a Tri-Fold Triangular card and it is one of the best fancy folds I have done in a while. I've seriously had so much fun with this card and I've been looking forward to sharing this technique with you.

If you scroll further down you will find not only the measurements for this fold but also my weekly video tutorial. But first lets see a few photos:

I have to admit it wasn't the easiest card to photograph, but hopefully the photo's give you some idea on how the fold works.

I have really enjoyed using the It Starts With Art stamp set and just keep finding more uses for it. The fact it comes with dies too, is a huge added bonus. And how pretty is the Follow Your Art designer series paper. Just perfect together!

Card Measurements:

Card Base: 10 1/4" x 4" - Two of these
Pattern paper square: 3 1/2" x 3 1/2"
Cardstock square: 3 3/4" x 3 3/4"
Pattern Paper front: 3 3/4" x 4 1/4" - Two of these
Whisper White middle: 3 3/4" x 5 1/4"

Finally here is the video tutorial. Please subscribe to my channel and ring the little bell button so you'll be notified every time I post a new video.
